Lovely old time hostel form a converted hotel. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and tidy. Only issue was heater being wall mounted with a timer which would click off every 30 minutes. Not ideal on a very cold night.

Very basic, if i did not upgrade, the original room smelt real bad and did not look very clean, the room i upgraded to, the sheets looked like they had not been changed....overall convenient placement

This is a great place to stay close to everything. The rooms are so clean and the the bed was comfy. The common areas are a bonus and kept so clean . The host is just amazing knows the area so well and can tell you all about different places you can go and visit. Thanks for a great stay . Would highly recommend to others.

A nice no-thrill hostel where the staff are super friendly and helpful. In NZ west coast, hostels are for travellers of all ages. So if you are concerned (like I did) about staying with a bunch of college, worry not. The shared bathroom is not that much a hassle. It's like staying at a friend's or relative's place. There is a sink inside each room. The walk from the train station is 10 min. Do bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioner. For what they lack in toiletry, they make it up with a gigantic kitchen with all the pots, pans, utensils...you ever need for a trip.

Thanks to the staff, I had a great day. He's very kind and give me a lot of useful information. The room is small and labyrinthine, but it's clean and satisfying to stay for a short time.

Historic building. Wonderful proximity town and railway station and other transport. Good checkin and out. Big rooms and lounge, fire with large separate kitchen. Friendly staff . Temprary luggage storage.

Sehr freundlich empfangen, kurze und präzise Einweisung. Für die Durchreise sehr gut geeignet, auch wenn das Objekt an sich im Hinterbereich etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist (z.B. gegenüberliegende Zimmer in einem seitlichen Lichthof).

私は予約してすぐにホテルに到着しましたが、嫌な顔などせずに気持ち良く案内してくれました。ありがとうございました！ ただ、建物が古いので仕方ないことなのでしょうが、もう少し清潔感があるとよいと思いました。

Super Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Sauberes Zimmer mit bequemen Bett. Konnte dort kein muffigen Geruch festsstellen so wie andere in den Bewertungen meinten. Mega große gut ausgestatte Küche. Cafe und Tee zur freien Verfügung. Insgesamt sehr zufrieden gewesen, besonders bei dem guten Preis.
