I enjoyed everything about my week stay in Grindelwald. Barbara, the host, was very helpful and accommodating, the apartment was clean and well-equipped, and the views and location were outstanding. An excellent experience all around!

Wonderful stay

We had a great time at this apt. The pictures in the listing are accurate. We took many pictures from our balcony. Barbara was so easy to work with; she was very welcoming, helpful, answered lots of questions. She offered to give us a ride to the train station, which was very much appreciated. We certainly hope to come back.

Awesome chalet with magical views

Barbara's chalet was amazing! The view from the the porch is breathtaking. Barbara and her husband were extremely friendly and attentive. We stayed in the chalet for 4 weeks and loved every minute of it! The walk up from the train station is pretty steep and was quite the cardio workout, but after a few days we got the hang of it. The chalet is off the beaten path and has very little vehicle traffic so it was a very peaceful vacation. We loved every minute of it!

Fantastic chalet

The chalet was very good value and spotlessly clean. It had all of the equipment we needed for our stay. The host Barbara couldn’t have been more helpful. She gave us a lift from the train station at the start of our stay which was great. Our only reservation was that the Chalet was up a very steep slope from the village. However Barbara told us about the local guest bus which meant we never had to struggle up the slope!

Short stay but wonderful

excellent location and beautiful/amazing views of the alps! Train and bus stations, Coop store and restaurants are all walking distance. Going down the street was easy but going up is only for the physically fit. The kitchen was fully equipped and remodeled. As well as the bathroom. Barbara the host, was very accommodating and ensured we have everything we need. I would strongly recommend this chalet to my friends/families and be back here again.

Wonderful

We spent 10 wonderful days staying at Chalet Barbara. The chalet is very clean and comfortable with everything you could need for your stay. The stunning views are worth the walk up the steep hill and the hosts who live upstairs were friendly and helpful taking us to and from the station at the beginning and end of our stay so we didn’t have to struggle with luggage. Although the apartment is close to the centre of town it is in a very quiet and peaceful location and we spent our evenings on the spacious terrace enjoying the view and identifying where we had been during the day, we hope to return in the future.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und hat alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Die geräumige Terrasse hat einen atemberaubenden Blick. Es ist total ruhig, man hört nur ganz leise das Rauschen der Wasserfälle im Hintergrund. Auch das Schlafzimmer ist so ruhig.

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine au Chalet Barbara

Appartement très propre avec tout le nécessaire à disposition. Emplacement très pratique à quelques minutes à pied de la gare et des commerces. Très calme avec une jolie terrasse pour profiter de la vue et du soleil. Mon fils a adoré ses vacances, nous avons eu la visite des chats du propriétaire ce qui lui a fait très plaisir.

Schöner Wanderurlaub in Grindelwald.

Sehr nette Vermieter. Die Balkonterasse bietet einen herrlichen Ausblick auf den Eiger und seine Umgebung. Zum Bahnhof sind es nur ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Der Weg ist jedoch recht abschüssig bzw. steil.

Great week in Grindelwald

We were very happy to stay one week in Chalet Barbara. The appartment is comfortable, clean and in a quiet place not far from the center of the village (5 minutes down, 10 minutes up). Wonderful view from the living room ! As a bonus, you get a large sun terrace with a ‘postcard view’ on the Eiger, Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen. The kitchen is new and well equipped. The bathroom is adequate. We were warmly welcomed by the owners who were always ready to answer our questions. They even brought us back to the station when we left. There is a lot of documentation about Grindelwald in the appartment, which is quite helpful to plan your activities. If you need more info, the available wifi connection is of good quality. Many thanks to Barbara and Andreas for giving us the opportunity to spend a very nice time in Grindelwald.
