A Weekend in Groningen

I decided to stay in this Hotel because of it's facilities ie the pool & the nearby lake, as I moved into an apartment in Central Groningen on Monday. My extended family will probably come out to visit me however over the coming months, so i needed somewhere decent for them to stay & the flank Hotel certainly didn't dissapoint

Nice hotel, felt a little outdated (lousy lighting in the rooms and no mini fridge either). Other than that, they checked us in relatively quickly and parking was available!

Absolutely fantastic stay. Lovely hotel and staff. Room was great and the bathroom also. The park nearby is also ideal for a stroll or run. The hotel also provided a mini van service into Groningen and back - really nice. Would certainly stay again. Pool also open until 10pm and very clean and good. Can’t complain about anything. Thank you to all the staff.

Cozy hotel in a quiet area surrounded by nature

Cozy hotel, free parking, pleasant staff. Not far away from a city centre, you can walk or take a bus to a centre. Hotel is surrounded by nature, has a swimming pool, many meeting rooms. We travelled as a group,ad a buffet dinner in a separate private area which was cool as we could sit all together (17 people). The check in and out very fast, reception staff very pleasant so was staff in a bar. Hotel was very clean and modern. We'll stay in future for sure.

This was the best hotel that we stayed at! We loved everything about it. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It has a beautiful atmosphere and the hotel is very clean. The room was spacious and gave us some privacy as a family with the connecting door to the bedrooms. The view is awesome. We spent hours biking around the lake and enjoying the trails. The dining options are great and the service is wonderful! We cannot wait to return!

Nice location. Modern design. But bad room layout. Closet not in right location not as you enter room but around the corner beside the bed. Difficult to get to and not deep enough to hold the full width of a coat hanger. Room safe below it difficult to access. Bathroom top big, could have used extra space for rest of room.

Nice hotel, but room was very small. Hard to place your suitcase anywhere and still have access to the things in the room. They have bike rental in the hotel, which was very convenient for us. Just make sure that you have enough air in tires ! We were biking with half flat tires, so when we reached downtown I was soooo tired. All bike stores were closed on our way and we did not have pump.
