Our favorite aspect of this home is the large deck and outdoor gathering space! The home itself was kept quite clean with ample space for our smaller family of 4 to spread out. Enjoyed the updated bathrooms as well. Thank you for a great getaway!

Though the property was in a gated area, it was very easy to find thanks to Jeff’s detailed communication before my arrival. Check-in was super easy and the house was nice and truly gave a lake house feel. It had everything we needed and gave us a comfortable stay as our base to explore Yosemite for a couple of days. The hot tub was really nice to come back to after a day of hiking! A couple things I noticed were that the pool table, being that it stays outdoors, could use a refresh as the elements look to be affecting it a bit. Overall the house was certainly clean enough, but I did feel there were some areas that could use a little improvement, such as the outdoor furniture, and I noticed several webs inside and even around the beds. The biggest negative we experienced was not with the house itself, but with the way the gated community handles entry when driving in. They only have one lane for visitor entry (another lane for members of the community), so even after you have already paid and have your visitor pass, you need to enter through the same line where people are checking in for the first time. This meant that we waited on a 25 minute line almost every time we returned from being out which was frustrating, considering we already had our pass. It would really be beneficial to have a separate line for first time check-ins to avoid this, but otherwise we had a great stay!

Annual Family Trip

Our family had a memorable stay in this quaint cabin. The location is wonderful and we found a nearby hike at Carlon Falls for the perfect way to spend the day! My children loved the loft area while the adults enjoyed the hot tub! We also spent some time playing Clue, which was supplied by the owners!! A good selection of games! Thank you!!

Excellent, but not perfect

Excellent neighborhood, very close to Yosemite National Park. Nice little town with lots of good restaurants. Overall a very pleasant experience. I would give a 4.5 score if I could.The main issues we noticed were:*The showers in the unit could use a deep clean in the corners and door tracks. They were visibly dirty.*The outdoor pool table and patio table were weather warped but serviceable.*The hot tub had some dirt in it when we pulled back the cover and was definitely over-chlorinated. If I had to guess it was at least 12 ppm!*The dishwasher top rack was missing a stop block on one side so it kept falling off the track.*The retro gaming table in the picture didn't seem to work.*We tried to play the "Life" board game one evening but it was missing all the pieces.None of these things were major issues but it shows a trend that the unit could use some TLC.The one thing we didn't like about the property were the limits programmed on the smart thermostat. It was locked to not go below 72 and we noticed it would automatically creep up every few hours. The welcome book said to turn it up to 80 when you left during the day which, despite the book's claim, it took 1-2 hours to get back to a comfortable 74 once we came home. The book also warned that they would charge us extra if we used too much A/C... We followed these rules but with no ceiling fan (there was a oscillating fan available in the closet) the master bedroom was hard to sleep in comfortably.

Idyllic mountain home

We had a wonderful stay, this is equidistant from Yosemite’s Big Oak Flat and Hetch Hetchy entrances. Kids loved the beautiful deck, hot tub and pool table. Super quiet, a definite highlight of our California vacation!

Great location to visit the park. Love Groveland!

A Fantastic Week in Yosemite

There were 5 adults who stayed in this property for a week. We had a great time using this property as a based for our fantastic days out. It was also a great place to come back to and relax and have lazy mornings. Couldn't fault this property and would love to return.

Great Yosemite Home Base

Our family of 4 with 2 college-aged children stayed here during a multi-day visit to Yosemite NP. The house is within a gated community. We actually saw more deer within the community than we did at Yosemite! Inside, the house is plenty spacious and well designed. There is a huge deck that seems private as a result of all the trees surrounding the property. While we spent our days at the park, there is no shortage of fun things to do at the house including enjoying the deck, playing outdoor pool or bags, relaxing in the hot tub or playing the table arcade game in the loft area. We would definitely stay here again if we're again in the area.

Great location!

We really enjoyed this property and the location (access to restaurants, beach, grocery store and Yosemite were fantastic). Beds/couches were very comfortable. The only feedback I have is the house made some loud creaking noises that woke me up on the first night. We could also hear it while sitting on the deck. Thanks for sharing this great property with us!

All the comforts of home

The house had everything we needed to have a fun and relaxing time. Nice kitchen, and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the loft, and spent most of their time up there when they weren’t eating or fishing at the lake. We would stay there again.

Fabulous Home Close to Yosemite

Our family of six adults ranging from age 20s to 80s enjoyed a few days in this lovely home for a visit to Yosemite. The home is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked making it easy to prepare meals. We took advantage of the spacious oudoor deck for meals, games, and relaxing. There are many indoor and outdoor games. It was easy to get to Yosemite National Park for visits. The Big Oak Flat entrance gate is about a 40-minute drive, which is about as close as you can get when staying outside of the park.

Great property close to Yosemite

Loved staying here ! The drive to park is about 1:15 hours . The house accommodated all 6 of us perfectly . It was a relaxing place to land after long hikes in Yosemite . The local grocery store had everything you could want which made making simple dinners easy. Owners were very responsive . We would stay here again .

Breathe in tranquility

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the spaciousness and comfort of this vacation home. With a beautiful deck and hot tub, offering a perfect setting for stargazing and pure relaxation. Perfect family getaway house!

We got lucky when we chose this house-- we could barely see neighbors to the right and left and our view off the deck was just woods. We had a family of deer visit us every morning while we had our coffee! The hosts have kids entertainment in mind and ours took advantage of the games, magnatiles, video games, and cornhole. They loved their little loft beds too! The kitchen was well-appointed and it was so nice to have the grill outside. Bring your white noise makers if you stay here with kids who need to go to bed before the adults. You can hear everything happening in the main part of the house from their spot in the lofted area. Otherwise, we can't compliment this house and it's owners enough!

Relaxing weekend in Groveland

The house was perfect for our needs and the owner was very communicative and accommodating. The place is quiet and the large deck was great for hanging out with our friends. The grill could have used a little more cleaning and the hot tub had some sand in it, but it wasn't a big deal. There was one window in need of repair that was covered with cardboard, but that was more of an eye sore than a problem. Would be a perfect place to come back with my kids! The upstairs was a great place for kids to hang out. I would definitely return! Thank you for everything.

perfect family stay!

we absolutely loved our stay here! beautiful setting and lovely and comfortable home. loved our dinners on the deck and our time in the hot tub after our days in yosemite—it was the perfect place for us! our kids are teenagers now and they still loved their upstairs hideaway, but if you have little ones, they would love the teepee and the upstairs area! so cute! we cook a lot when traveling. and the kitchen had everything we needed. highly recommend!
