Great spot in Gruyère

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The view from the restaurant was gorgeous. I loved that this hotel was in the middle of everything in Gruyère and would certainly stay again.

Neat hotel in a walled city.

Wonderful hotel within the walled city. Be prepared to walk your luggage from the parking lot to the hotel, about 300 meters. Rooms are large and fit the architecture of the city. Great breakfast and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We had a wonderful stay at St George's hotel. All the staff is so friendly, and especially Ana at the front desk, she just can't do enough for us. We appreciated all the details and attentiveness. One must stay there if ever to visit the Gruyère ville.

First time in Gruyères

For a one night visit to Gruyères, this was a great place to stay. Everyone in the hotel was very nice and accommodating. They upgraded us to a view side room which was very pretty. A very cute hotel! The staff provided guidance and recommendations for our stay that was very helpful.

Serene and Spectacular

Had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at LSG for a week. The hotel is situated at the top of a hillside in a little medieval village and is just picturesque. All around is serenity and nature. The hotel is a lovely place, has adequate sized rooms and they are very comfortable. The best part is waking up and looking straight out onto the mountains and hearing the sounds of nature !! Food at the hotel is delicious and their cheese fondue and ice creams are the best ! Staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and friendly and make your experience even more special and enjoyable. Special thanks to Alex, Hichem and Mohammed who made us feel welcome and took care of everything. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer !! Definitely be visiting LSG in the future again.

Amazing stay at the hotel Le Saint George

I am so happy that I chose the Hotel Le Saint George for my stay in Gruyeres. I was so in need of a break, and when I arrived yesterday I was warmly greeted by Anna, whose customer service is truly outstanding. I arrived early, and she was able to check me in, and showed me my lovely room. It is heavenly, overlooking the square. I am so grateful to have found this wonderful hotel.

The hotel is centrally located in the medieval town of Gruyere. The staff were wonderful, the room was great. They have a restaurant with great views, a herd of deer appeared while we were having dinner. There is no elevator so if you have any mobility issues be aware. The staff will take care of bringing up your luggage for you.

Wonderful!

Wonderful place to stay, great restaurant, and the staff was wonderful too! Extremely conveniently located and was in the middle of it all. (Get a parking pass from them instead of at the lot pay station.). And also note that there are certain times that you can drive in the pedestrian zone to drop off/pick up your bags. (But wasn’t a very far walk regardless.)

We wanted to stay in Gruyère Old Town, and we decided on Le Saint Georges based on pictures posted and we were not disappointed. We received a free upgrade to Junior Suite which was wonderful, as it had two windows we could open and enjoy nice ventilation of the room when it cooled down in the evening. We stayed when it was extremely hot outside, so being able to open room up to cool it down was much appreciated. We enjoyed dinner with dessert on the back covered terrace.

Lovely location directly in the old village. Anna in receiption was very accommodating. There is an old set of circular stairs, so the staff were wonderful to assist with luggage. Rooms are comfortable with nice bedding and a choice of pillows. Coffee maker, hair dryer and several outlets around the room. Restaurant has a lovely view and the staff was friendly and offered great suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is helpful to know that after 6pm and between 8am and 10am you are able to drive to the front of the hotel to drop luggage. Breakfast is typical European and you have the ability to boil eggs to your liking. We will definitely return

Incredible fairytale stay near the castle.

Le Saint Georges was absolutely magical. Our entire stay in Gruyeres felt like a fairytale. We arrived well before check in but they happily took our luggage and worked with us to take care of check out then since we were leaving quite early the next morning. When we arrived back later in the day to officially get our room, they had already taken our luggage into our room. Our room was small but enchanting with a lovely window that opened up to the main street in Gruyeres. It did not have AC (we knew this ahead of time) but it was equipped with a fan that kept us cool overnight. Our room had a lovely and spacious bathroom with shampoo and conditioner, wash rags, and a spacious shower. The hotel also had great wifi connectivity. The hotel host was incredible as well- unfortunately I didn't catch her name! She advised us to try to get dinner at a certain time as many restaurants in the town close early and when we decided upon eating dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was incredible), the same hotel host was insistent on us getting a table by the window which had the most stunning view of the mountains during sunset. I would absolutely recommend that anyone visiting Gruyeres come to Le Saint Georges.
