“The Stavrand is a beautiful property nestled in the redwoods just a few minutes walk from downtown Guerneville. The front desk and dining room staff were friendly and helpful. We brought kayaks, for which we were shown a safe place for storage. My disappointments were: (1) the swimming pool was quite cold, and the jacuzzi was not very hot and had no operative jets, (2) housekeeping did not come clean our room during our 2-night stay, and (3) the room, though lovely, had no real separation of bed……
“design was underwhelming - prefab small houses. Staff was generally unavailable to help solve problems. However, excellent artwork by local artist!!!!”
“Hotel is beyond beautiful with the roses and the environment very calming and peaceful, amazing backdrop to the mountains. Just an overall amazing place”
“Such an amazing place - an oasis, really.
The expansive waterside lounging area is incredible. The dock with access to Kayak/paddle-boards makes enjoying the Russian River SO easy.
The restaurant and bar are just perfect and the staff are so nice it feels like you’re staying at your cool, rich friend’s house on the river.”
