I really do not like to complain, and maybe you are not aware, but whoever is supposed to clean the home is not doing a good job. The 1st thing we noticed was that the baseboards are coated in a dirty, sticky, thick dust. The sliding glass door handle is about to fall off, and there is a stick to use to lock the slider, and the sliding track is coated in what looks like black mold. In the kitchen, it looks like black mold on the ceiling above the refrigerator, and the dishes were dirty. We literally dumped dirt and bugs out of bowls, and the pots & pans were so old we could not use them and had to eat out every meal unplanned. The downstairs and one upstairs bathroom have cracked tiles and mold. The kitchen table had food and crumbs in the grooves of the table, and it was sticky with grime. There was trash on the little beach area but we picked up We could not use the picnic table on the deck because the divider constantly blew and hit you in the head. Underneath the house could use a good cleaning, too. Cockroaches down there, too. The bedroom upstairs was black with something on the ceiling, and I'm not sure the floor underneath the couches has ever been cleaned. My grandson dropped a toy, and we had to pull the couch out to get it. Unfortunately, my Son, his wife, and their 6-year-old left Sunday morning and got a hotel because my grandson was sick from allergies from dust & mold. He cut his foot on broken tile. Sorry to complain, but it just felt dirty.

I would say this is a nice place to stay being that it is on the lagoon. Fishing was fun off the pier. One can walk to the beach but it isn’t just a few steps. It had a couple maintenance issues, the grass was tall and they used a weed-eater to cut it down the second day, after I emailed them to please cut it. I felt like it should have been cut when we arrived. The back door handle was broken when we arrived which they would have fixed but we didn’t want maintenance disrupting our vacation. I am not complaining because overall we had a great stay. I would recommend it.

Rest and reset

We had a good stay. Overhead light in the kitchen was burned out. Downstairs toilet needed TLC. We didn’t call maintenance because we didn’t want anyone in the house while we were not there. Nice place, great location. Super enjoyable private bay beach. Neighbors were friendly enough. We had to buy a gate to separate the porch, we brought our dogs and there was no separation. We will book again.

Rested and Relaxed

Loved the location in the lagoon with private beach & dock! House was very clean… I would have preferred a “homier” feel with the furniture/furnishings. Would have been nice to have access to kayaks on the property, too. Overall- we had what we needed and really enjoyed our stay- thank you!

Great Get Away

Loved the location and access to the Little Lagoon and the sandy area for the kids. There is no partition on the deck. That would’ve been nice. But the house was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows.

Great location

Lagoon at the back door and the beach was just a 5 minute walk. The house was clean and the air worked so well we had to turn it up over and over. With it being a duplex we were worried about noise from the other side. We were pleasantly surprised and only heard the other side one time the entire stay. We hope they had the same experience with our noise. Only negative was the pictures of the property showed a fire pit on the lagoon side and there was not a fire pit. It was not listed in the amenities however with it being in the pictures of the property we thought there would be one to make s’mores. We hauled wood 8 hours and the little ones were disappointed. Not a big deal and if we stayed again we would just bring one with us. Overall a great stay!

We had to buy additional cleaning supplies since the property hadn’t been cleaned very well. You might try mopping the floors in between renters and gaving pest control for the whole unit. Our neighbors to the east had worse problems than we did

Great location very close to beautiful beaches!

The house had plenty of room inside and out! The AC kept up well in August. We had neighbors the whole time and we never heard them. We had all 4 bunks full of kids and couldn’t hear them in the next room either. The dock was very nice as well! Enough towels and washrags provided. Water pressure was nice. I would stay here again but would look for places with better toiletries first for convenience. I did not like that only one dishwasher tab, one roll of paper towels and one roll of TP per bathroom for 10 people for the 5 days. The property mgr told us before hand these would be this way, though, so we were prepared. Only one garbage bag was provided which was very odd. There were no kitchen towels, which was a problem since we had to hand wash dishes and only had a roll of paper towels. Also be sure to buy your own coffee filters. 😂 It may be normal to new VRBO users to not expect this, but having to bring your own good toiletries and paper goods is typically one of the perks of using this platform rather than a hotel.

Worth it

House was as advertised and in a great location. Best part was the little beach we had on the lagoon…didnt have to walk to the big beach and deal with crowds, jelly fish or rip currents. I suggest taking a boat or jet ski’s or renting them and riding on the lagoon. To the owners, your cleaning crew is not cleaning the ceiling fans or the grate for air conditioner-both are full of dust and grime. You may also consider purchasing another vacuum for the house-the current one does not suck up the sand well at all….mainly scatters it. We enjoyed our trip and the house was nice- would rent again.

Enjoyed fishing/beach options

We had 3 older teenage boys and they loved the options of fishing, kayaking, or going to the beach all week. It was still close enough to all the shopping and diners, but not in a busy area. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all nice size with comfortable furniture. There are two units in this house. All but 3 days the other side was empty. But the last 3 days a family with young children were on the other side. They woke us up every morning running around and yelling. They also took over the small sand area by the boat dock. In the future, we will probably look for a rental that is not shared for this reason. But the rental itself was very nice!

Floors

Property was very nice and check in/out was easy and accurate as described. I would like to say that when we arrived the dishwasher was full of dishes from the stay ahead of us. Also, the floors were extremely filthy. No obvious sign of dirt/trash but, unable to walk around with bare feet and them remain clean. So, I feel like the floors are swept and vacuumed but, absolutely no way they are being mopped. Hope this helps the owner realize a couple of cleaning things that they are getting the shaft on! Overall Great Spot for Family With Young Kids

We had 4 couples and 3 children under the age of 2 staying in the entire property. We happened to vacation during a time of high jellyfish count, so it was nice to have a safe "beach" for the kids to play where we encountered a do-able amount of jellyfish and zero stings. The biggest complaints we had for the property were that the check-in process turned into a bit of a snafu because the door codes wouldn't work on one side of the house and the AC on that side (it's been almost a year, so I'm not sure which) wasn't keeping up so the unit was consistently warm during the day, which would be fine but for napping babies. Still though, we would stay here again.
