Great Place

This is our second stay at this place and we absolutely love it!! It’s so close to the water we can hear the waves crash inside which I absolutely love. The area is so quiet and peaceful. Everything is exactly as described about the place!

Gorgeous Sunsets on the Lagoon

This was the perfect size home for the two of us! The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the nice deck overlooking the Lagoon and watching the gorgeous sunsets in the evenings. Very peaceful!

Overall great stay

Came in after dark. No address on house and no lights on. Light on deck where keypad was at was actually tore off the wall. We used lights on phone to be able to get in. Once in everything was clean and nice.

Location!!

First, we loved the location. The bay side is SO quiet and tranquil. The walk to the beach side was quick and easy. We had everything we needed, but the building needs some tender loving care. There was a lot of water underneath, so we couldn't use that part. When it rains, the walk to your car is gushy. Loved the privacy and view from the porch. It would be nice if part or all of the porch was covered to help keep things dry when it rains. The shower head is SO short you have to bend down to rinse off. They could use a new bed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it's hard to beat this location!!

My husband and I usually stay where there’s an ocean view but mixed it up with this location and it didn’t disappoint. The sunsets were breathtaking!! We played in the lagoon, enjoyed the seagulls, cranes, owls and various birds, the boats, jet skis & kayaks going by. We listened to music on the deck and danced under the stars. 💫 Very comfy seating on the deck and underneath the home. Short walk to the public beach that’s just a few blocks away where we went to enjoy the sunrises. ☀️ The only downside is the blinds above the bed needs dusted (badly) and there needs to be more towels and wash cloths in the cottage. Nobody has time to do laundry everyday. We are definitely planning on coming back someday.

Beautiful area and perfect view!

No Frills Such a cute little place with perfect views and area to swim right on the lagoon! Would be really cramped with 4 adults. Perfect for 2 adults and maybe suitable for 2 adults with a couple of smaller children. Internet is terrible! Television continued to show “No internet connection. Check home internet connection” so, no internet/Wi-Fi the entire stay. No help from 800 # and messages to host! We had decent weather. If you love to grill outdoors there is not a nice grill. There is a tiny little (maybe 12”) charcoal grill that sits about 4” from ground. Might as well just cook instead and get meal done a lot faster. No coffee pot that uses pods, only a coffee pot that uses paper filters. So plan on taking your own keurig type coffee maker or buy ground coffee and paper filters. Other than that, the place was clean and king bed was pretty comfortable.

Cute beach shack

Lovely location, great rate. 2 big issues I wish I had known 1. Sleeping areas horrible , king mattress like a piece of sandwich bread, I slept on the floor. Sofa sleeper is about 20 years old just don’t pull it out. Had my daughter sleep on it as a couch since the mattress springs kept popping through. 2. There is NO internet company prepays for it, not through a normal company and it was not on. Both myself and my daughter had school work, my mom is stage 4 cancer, I am from Gulf shores and came down for her, this was not a pleasure trip but an emergency trip. We needed internet and although listing said they have it… they don’t. If I had known, just for that reason alone I would have booked elsewhere. Absolutely LOVE the location if it was for a pleasure trip and I didn’t need sleep or the internet I would have rated it a 10 of 10. Please replace the mattresses and make sure internet is paid prior to renting and I would totally stay again next time I needed to visit home.

Excellent and quiet location

We stayed at this property last year and loved the location, so we figured we’d try again this year. We were hoping for a few updates/upgrades/TLC shown the property, but that was not the case. It’s hard to find a great location right on the water (Little Lagoon), so we opted to overlook some of the issues of the property itself. We had issues with the cable and the Vacasa rep got Mediacom to troubleshoot. Vacasa and Mediacom were awesome. We brought some conveniences from home as we stayed for a month this time. Some of the items we brought- shower caddy, non-stick pan for frying eggs, single serve Kcup coffee maker, Electric Foreman Grill, and small throw rugs. The property only provided one dish towel in the kitchen, (no hot pads!), and one hand towel in the bathroom. It would have been nice to have a cookie sheet. The property has a great fridge with ice maker. The king size bed is the same as last year, and we found it to not the most comfy. We requested a different set of sheets from Vacasa as the original flat sheet was too short to tuck properly, bed pillows should be replaced. The sofa is not comfortable. There could be another end table in the main living area. A little bigger table for eating would also be nice. I don’t know how a family of 3-4 or two couples could do it in this property. The accommodations would not be conducive to comfort for all concerned. Will most likely be researching a different location the next time we come down to Gulf Shores.

My wife and I loved the location and being able to literally walk 20 steps right to the bay side water. The sunset view was absolutely beautiful. Cannot think of anything else I could have done on this surprise trip for my wife to reign in a 30 year anniversary gift.

Best view you can get of the lagoon

The place was absolutely gorgeous about 20 ft from the water. It's small and very quaint. Everything worked pretty good. Slept very well had a great experience.
