Pelican View – The Ultimate Tropical Oasis

Just steps away from the beach walkway, this fully furnished 2,532 sq. ft. home showcases fantastic views of the Gulf of Mexico from its enormous covered deck, as well as throughout its open and airy floor plan. This 6 bedroom, 4 bath home sleeps 14 comfortably. You can hear the waves crashing onto the shore on most days. The home is very modern and offers spacious rooms and deck areas. Morgantown also offers two community swimming pools, tennis courts, and endless shorelines! Enjoy the Gulf without the hassle of traffic or dense occupancy. 

About Pelican View

The massive living room opens up to the dining area and the gourmet kitchen, where you and your guests can enjoy the use of top-of-the-line appliances, ample granite countertops, a full array of cookware, and extra seating in the bar area. Meanwhile, the master suite boasts its own private bath, as well as exquisite gulf-front views. Covered parking is also available for your convenience. Guests will have access to high-speed internet throughout the home.

This gorgeous beach home has immediate beachfront access from the boardwalk, which is right next to the house. Nearby are additional Harris Properties vacation rentals, including Brainstopper, Sawgrass, and Sea La Vie. Renting out any of these vacation properties in conjunction with Pelican View is a handy option for those traveling with larger parties of friends or family who want to stay close by one another, but don’t want to sacrifice space, comfort, or privacy during their vacation. Guests who stay at Pelican View will also have access to the resort-style community pool and tennis courts.

About Morgantown

Morgantown is a lovely residential community located in Fort Morgan. Guests staying in Morgantown will have access to two community swimming pools, four tennis courts, and three boardwalks that provide direct access to the beach.

About Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes.  However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.  We have no exception to this policy.

Fall break at the beach.

The property was just as advertised, beautiful home just steps from the boardwalk. It was the perfect place for my family. Spacious bedrooms and the kitchen was great. It was fully stocked with any thing you could need. The only complaint I have is that when we arrived all three of the trash cans under the house were overflowing and there were several bags of trash on the ground. We had to take it to the street on our first night so we would have somewhere to put our trash. Other than that, everything was great.

We loved the house and beach!! Also loved that it was pet friendly. The back queen bed needs fixed or replaced. The frame makes horrible noise if you even move.There are 2 charcoal grills we enjoyed also. Great family house and beach. Hope to come back!!

The location could not have been better, close enough to visit everything, far enough away to not have the amount of people in Gulf Shores. The house was clean, all the bedrooms were comfortable and tidy. All of the bathrooms were a good size. Every morning you could get up and look out the front and see the ocean. Our group really enjoyed this location.

Nice property, fantastic location

While the weather could have been warmer during our stay, we still had a great time. Nice being able to walk out your door, down the boardwalk to the beach ... perhaps about 75 yards or so. Had to call maintenance for an issue with the lock; he was at the property in about 30 minutes and was professional and was able to make a quick repair for us. Would rent again.

Great location for beach access! Perfect for a family!

You couldn’t ask for a better location with the boardwalk being right next to the home, giving you access to the beach in just a short walk. We have stayed in this neighborhood before and enjoy how quiet it is. Our family enjoyed our time here.

Great location so close to the beach

Fantastic home in a great location! The walk to the beach was barely longer than a beachfront home thanks to being right next to the beach walkway. The house was clean and comfy, and we loved the ice maker in the kitchen! The only things I’d recommend to the owners would be an outside shower head for rinsing off after beach trips, and a gas grill would be great. Maybe some “house” beach chairs. My family loved this property and we would definitely rent it again. We also really liked eating at the Sassy Bass Grill nearby.

Amazing Location

I have to say, this may be my favorite house we've stayed at through VRBO. The location was amazing, it was never noisy, the beach only steps away. From the kitchen and living room, the windows provide a view of the Gulf. The house itself was clean, in good condition. This location was far enough from the business of Gulf Shores, yet within easy driving distance to anywhere we wanted to go. My only recommendations are to bring extra blankets if you get cold easily at night. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. I hope to return.

Location is perfect!

The location was second to none and had plenty of beds for our group. We rent from VRBO frequently, so here are some tips for people renting this place: 1. be careful of the fees. They were significantly more than other places we've stayed. 2. There are two charcoal grills available for use that aren't listed in the amenities. 3. We emailed ahead of time, asking if there was a crockpot or griddle on site to help us with packing. We were told there wasn't. We get there and there was a crockpot, two griddles and an instapot. Knowing this would have helped us pack. 4. All of the shelving (except 1) on the door of the fridge is completely broken off, thus significantly reducing the amount the fridge can hold. We had 14 people staying there and had to go to the grocery store 3 times instead of once because there was just no room. 5. There is a GIGANTIC awesome built in ice machine -- don't buy ice. Wish we would have known that. 5. We regularly use VRBO and this was the first time toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, laundry soap, hand washing soap, kleenex and basic counter top cleaning solution were NOT provided. Again, add that into your costs and plan accordingly for your first night -- this presented a problem our first night. 6. Note the number of double, not queen beds -- depending on how many adults you have, this could present problems. 7. The master bath shower door has many gaps and leaks horribly -- put more towels down.

Great family vacation

The house was in great working order. Favorite things, short walk to the beach and the ice machine! All my kids & grandkids came. And the dog! Plenty of space to gather in the living area. and to have some alone time . The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, did I mention the ice machine?? There was a charcoal grill. Only thing I would suggest is a ceiling fan on the porch. The view was perfect for us from the porch and was still able to see dolphins. Definitely would revisit.

The property is very nice, just a short walk to the beach. The kitchen is very well stocked! In my humble opinion , I feel the cleaning service doesn’t do as well as they should. We had sand in our “clean” bed the first night. ( yes , before getting into the bed) . Sand in the bathtub, not sure any cleaning fee was used for cleaning!

Great house, a few little annoyances

Loved the location and layout of the house. One really big issue though is the size and comfort of the beds. The only king sized bed is in the master and all of the other rooms have at most full size (maybe one queen but it didn’t seem like it). The strange thing is that there’s plenty of room for queens. A decent memory foam queen and a platform can be had for $500-700 so it’s an easy fix. Oh one more weird thing too, no locks on the bedroom doors, we definitely found that odd.
