We highly enjoyed our stay at Sandpiper. Was a very short walk to the beach. I was so excited about bringing my 7 yr old grandson wirh us. The house looked like a new house inside. The beds were AMAZING!! I don't think I have ever slept that good. Kitchen was well stocked as was the bathroon toiletries. I would highly recommend this cure house to anyone.

Perfect for family and friend getaway

We enjoyed our time at the sandpiper! It was perfect for our families and was just a few minute walk to the beach! The outside area was probably our favorite! Perfect to relax, grill and hangout after a Long Beach day!

Great location and very nice amenities

We would definitely stay here again. Everything was well-kept, furniture was nice and clean, and space was comfortable. Everyone was pleased with the stay!

Great getaway

It is a great house very close to the beach. The downstairs was an additional area that was nice to sit and watch tv, read, and enjoy the outdoors. We would definitely stay again.

Great Trip, OK House

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was in a great location. We love the area . Steps to the beach, we rented golf cart because I recently had hip surgery. The house was dirty when we arrived, we did not check in early. My wife and I jumped in and cleaned, which is ridiculous with cleaning fees. The house needs updating, exposed wires and leaking pipes under house in the sitting area. Hand rails were so loose , we had to call it in. We told them about the filth and I guess they thought we wanted discount. They were rude. They had sent text asking if everything is ok and we replied. We didn’t ask for anything,The gentleman came and fixed the railing, nice guy. Great location and we had a great time. They did advertise they had beach supplies in a room, they do not. I would recommend fort Morgan area just not this house.

We had trouble with the tv, but it might have been us. The fridge space was limited due to missing shelves and door rails. Some new cookware is needed - the non-stick pans were in bad shape and the metal pans stick badly. The kitchen issues may not be of concern if you don't do a lot of cooking.

Love Fort Morgan

This was our 3rd time staying in Fort Morgan, and our 1st time ataying at The Sandpiper. Check in and communication was super easy, as they had texted me around a week prior and said to text with any questions. Which i did, and received reasonably timed responses. They gave me a code, address, and check in time. All of which went without a hitch. We arrived, entered the code, and began enjoying ourselves immediately. The house was very clean and had essentials like bath towels, complimentary soap, and even some welcome snacks! We stopped at the Walmart in Gulf shores to stock up on supplies before driving to Fort Morgan. (Highly recommended as the only close stores are 2 dollar generals, which come in handy). The beach was only like 3 houses away and you can have your toes in the sand in under 2 minutes from leaving the door. Fort Morgan always has a wonderful locals vibe. Being farther away from hotels keeps the beach uncrowded and relaxing. Only issue we had was that the house stated that it had cable. It had a cable box, but the only channels it received was home shopping network and local channels. Annoying but not a deal breaker as the wife and I brought a DVD player to watch shows in the evenings. All in all would highly recommend The Sandpiper for a relaxing beach getaway. Has room for plenty of people with its 3 bedrooms and pullout couch. Will definitely bring the kids back with us for a future visit!

It was perfect for our family of five. No problems except not being able to work the tv’s. We communicated with the management company and they were very helpful. It was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked but the skillets are all small. That being said, there are several skillets. Not very many forks, that is probably the only thing the kitchen needs more of. There are baking pans, air fryer, crock pot, waffle iron, mixer and blender and all worked well. Make sure you bring dish and laundry supplies as there is only 1 load each of the soaps there. I also always bring extra kitchen towels as we go through them pretty fast. There are 2 kitchen towels and rags there. The beach wagon is great for going to the beach. We brought our own tent which was great. Bring chairs. It is very close to the beautiful beach and an easy walk!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was okay, the house was cute and it was a short walk down to the beach. There were annoying ants on the sofa upstairs, in the bed in the middle room and on the furniture downstairs. The barbeque grate was unusable and we had to end up buying our own grate in town and yet they told us if it was dirty they would charge us extra. Finally, we could not get into the closet downstairs and that was fine but they told us they would charge us if it was out of order. There were a lot of rules and threats. Despite all of that Ft. Morgan is a great beach and we had a wonderful week .

Reviewer Comments: We were fortunate enough to stumble across Sandpiper in Ft Morgan when looking for a place to escape to for a week at the beach this summer. We have been coming to the Alabama gulf coast for over 30 years. We found our new favorite place! Sandpiper is a beautiful home with awesome amenities! We began each day in the tall chairs on the deck with our coffee looking out to the gulf and waiving to the friendly neighbors as they walked by. After a full day at the beach we would end each day with the kid’s watching movies under the house. The swing bed was a family favorite! The house came with everything you need to relax and enjoy yourself. The rental company was super easy to work with and very responsive. The house is beautifully furnished and clean. We loved the artwork in the house (which happens to be the owner’s amazing work). Thank you for sharing your beautiful beach house with us! We are already planning a trip back next summer 🙂

Family vacation

The pros: so close to the beach. Beautiful neighborhood. Quiet. Lots of beach equipment to borrow. The downstairs area was great for family. Naps on the swing were wonderful. We noticed sheriffs patrol here and there which is reassuring. The cons: if a property is listed as sleeping 10, there should be more than 6 towels and the water heater should be big enough to fill more than half the bathtub with lukewarm water. I specifically asked if there were bed linens for the trundle bed and pullout sofa, the management company replied that there were. When we arrived there was a twin fitted sheet for the trundle. No top sheet, no blanket, and nothing for the pullout sofa. I texted the property management company back and they never responded until it was time to remind me about all the checkout rules. I understand it’s a beach house, but we were not expecting sand all in the pullout sofa. The house was not very child friendly. The front door in the living room didn’t lock from the inside and our tiny human loved the freedom of being able to open the door himself. We weren’t as pleased that he could bolt put the door whenever he wanted. The charcoal grill was tiny, we didn’t even bother using it.

Oven worked great and cooked/boiled food very fast, nice to have after long days on the beach. Furniture was in a good order and not broken or damaged. Microwave was brand new and worked great! Washer/dryer worked and was glad it was in unit. However many things within the home were out of date and just didn't work well overall.None of the TVs worked...correctly so this was a frustration for the kids in the evening when they wanted to calm down after a long day at the beach.The fridge could barely hold food as the shelves and drawers were loose and almost falling out every time the fridge was opened. The outdoor shower, had no door like the pictures show and instead just a curtain the blows in the wind making it hard to remove sand Not enough silverware for 10 people and the unit is rated for 10, we had to buy extra at the store as it was 7 of us. Couch bed mattress, old and springy fit....for small kids only, would prob not have felt the best for anyone much older than a 3/4 year old. There was a very soft spot in the bunk room on the floor, took a few days for agency to properly respond, realize this was a major safety concern, and then send someone to fix it. Got conflicting answers on how bad of a problem it was.Had random people park near this property late at night and try to go onto the driveway/under the house. Thankfully the wife and I were outside and told them to move along. Agency never responded if this was normal or weird. Thankfully it only happened once.

Outdoor living space and beach access was really the primary reason for my choice to stay there. Floors could’ve been a little cleaner and house could use a few updates. Sandpiper is furnished nicely though. Staff was very responsive to my text questions after check in! Very helpful. We’ll definitely be considering rental for a future trip.
