Very nice accommodations and in a private location

The outside is a simple building, actually a 100 year old schoolhouse but then the inside is very inviting. Very nice kitchen, well equipped, plenty of room upstairs and even more downstairs. Very nice linens, beds are comfortable and is supplied with anything you might need. It’s out in the country so it’s very private and only about 2 miles from town. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Girls Getaway

My bestie from childhood and I stayed at the Schoolhouse for a much needed mama-getaway, and our experience was LOVELY. Brandy and Andrew thought of every detail, so we didn't have to--variety of drinks stocked in the fridge, every pot and pan we could need--even cute glasses that we didn't *know* we needed! ;-) Everything from the comfortable beds, quick communication to the games available and scenic views from the upstairs windows--was SPOT ON. We cozied up with some of the Christmas decor, big blankets and Netflix, and we were good to go. Did I mention the mini candies in the fridge?! It's not just a functional night to stay, it's an experience! Book the Schoolhouse!!! Thanks Penlands!

Hidden Gem

The Schoolhouse is a hidden gem! We arrived in Guthrie on Saturday morning and had a great breakfast and a fun time exploring the town; shopped the vintage antique shops, strolled through the art gallery, and had a fun time enjoying the tasting menu at Wanderfolk Spirits. But we couldn't wait to get back to the Schoolhouse. This place is AMAZING! The Schoolhouse has been transformed to a wonderful oasis on the prairie. The hosts thought of everything you could possibly need for a fun getaway. The kitchen is well equipped with all new appliances, and we enjoyed an al fresco dinner on the porch overlooking wonderful views and a breathtaking Oklahoma sunset. The next morning the light of the Oklahoma orange sunrise flooded the house. The three bedrooms are comfortable, each with its own charm and lush linens and bedding, and the baths are spacious and modern. Andrew and Brandy have turned an old 1920 schoolhouse into fabulous accommodations, with all the modern amenities beautifuly blended with lovely antiques. I’ve stayed in numerous home rentals and this house in Guthrie is by far the best. The schoolhouse is like a stay in an upscale hotel in the middle of the beautiful Oklahoma prairie. We will be back soon!

An absolutely beautiful property

We really enjoyed our stay. The property has the shell of an old farm school, but the inside has been remodeled and it brand new! Quite the dichotomy.
