One of the best hotel rooms ever. Basically a small apartment. Comfortable beds, fridge, two bedrooms and living space. Wish I could stay longer.

New construction. Modern. Has a washing machine. Ask for drying rack for wet clothes. They brought one up for us. Large fridge with freezer. Kitchen with pots, pans, utensils etc. Used it as base to travel to beosong tea plantation and Mudongsan National Park.

The pictures make this room seem large. It is tiny, and a business hotel. It was fine we stayed for a night but it was just okay. Nothing fancy, nothing great.

A decent option if you stop in Gwangju
Did it do the job, yes. Was it deserving 4 stars, certainly not. But as always in Korea the staff was efficient and nice.

A good place to stay in Gwangju when you visit this city. The hotel is located in the business district. Easy to go around for food and coffee. Recommended for those who want a good hotel in your budget range

Hotel room has everything you need. E-Mart 24 access on the first floor is very convenient. Stayed here for 10 consecutive nights. Very satisfied with everything.

Phenomenal. 4-star hotel bordering 5-star (i.e. high-end luxury). The lobby and restaurant smell like roses. Staff are great, kind, very accommodating. High-end for the price paid. Loved it so much I got a 2nd night and upgraded to suite.

UTOP hotel in Gwangju
Room was a bit snug. The information didn’t indicate bed size but it was queen sized. Service was very good and their English at the front desk was good, Way better than my Korean. Hotel name visible while wandering around area, made it easy to keep from getting to disoriented. Breakfast buffet was very good.

If you like to find pubic hair on the toilet and bugs in bed this is the definite place to stay in Gwangju. No matter how many times they change your room. You will always find pubic hair on the toilet lid. I guess it's their signature mark of saying get the hell out of our hotel!

Beware of room size
The room size is quite deceptive . It is so small that I kept hitting my leg on the bed .there is a cooktop, but nothing to cook with. Breakfast was good , room clean . I really don’t know where the 9/10 rating applies. Only 1 breakfast included for 2 people. It felt more like student quarters than an hotel room

Great Hotel!
The hotel is amazing. Price is great. Bed is comfortable. Room is very clean and comfortable. I only wish there was a queen or king size bed option for couples. Hotel breakfast is the best I've had in a long time. Regardless, I'm coming back to Gwangju in 2 weeks and will be staying there again!

The Bed
The stay was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel. Aside from my beautiful view from the 23rd floor, the bed was so comfortable! I can’t wait to book here again just for the comfortable bed. Unfortunately I didn’t visit the restaurant because I had other brunch plans, but I did stop by. The spread looked amazing! When I book again, I’m looking forward to dining here as well.
