Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the location and the wonderful deck to enjoy the view. The location was great and was perfect to take long walks on the beach. Property was very clean and the host was extremely responsive. Highly recommend!

Relaxing stay as per usual

Third or fourth time staying at DBH and it was relaxing as always. Easy access to beach, great view, and plenty of space to spread out. We'll be back!

Excellent!

We love this house. The view is awesome from everywhere on the upper floor which is where we spent most of our time. We ate at the Miramar Beach Restaurant twice. So good and so convenient. We would stay here again.

Family weekend

This was our second time at this property. We loved both of our stays here. Especially love hanging out on the deacons watching and listening to the ocean. The ocean is one of our favorite places to be.

Simply the best stay on the coast

The property is amazing, spending time on the deck is unbeatable. We saw whales and dolphins throughout the day. Our stay was during record heat in Half Moon Bay and it was gorgeous. The kitchen is fully equipped, and bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Would love to stay again.

Great Beach Stay

The house is a little quirky but fun to stay in. It is directly across the street from the beach; fun to hang out on the deck. The bridge nearby is under construction so there was no traffic - not sure what it is like when the bridge is back on line. Internet is good; kitchen well-equipped; clean.

Our 3rd stay here! As always we enjoyed watching the waves all day and the easy access to all the local amenities. The rental is well stocked with everything you need to cook if that's what you chose or it's easy to walk to a meal or pickup meals to go. The deck is a wonderful spot to relax.

Great location- perfect chill California home

Very comfortable, very clean, perfectly located for lots of Long Beach walks. Everyone loves the Douglas house and waved and smiled as if we deserved credit for all the fond memories people have there. The kitchen, bar, and deck are ideal for entertaining. Claire made it all easy.

Quiet, relaxing week

This is the third stay here, twice in the 2-bedroom site (in the same building), and once in the 3-bedroom site. The easy-access beach is right across a single-lane road that is essentially unused by visitors. The VRBO description is exactly correct in every detail. We started our stay here because our (then 3-year-old) granddaughter had never been to the ocean, and it was a 2-hour drive for us from our home. I highly recommend a stay here. You will love it. Family time

This property was perfect for 3 generations of great family time - both at the beachhouse and for surrounding area activities. The house was roomy, well stocked and very comfortable. The deck offered more space for family time activities with a lot of seating for our group of 8. I also appreciated the layout of the kitchen - able to visit with other family in the living room as well as see the ocean while preparing meals. Our host was very responsive too to my inquiries. Would definitely like to stay again.

A wonderful beach front property!

We (6 people) celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary/wife’s 50th bday at the beautiful Douglas beach house. We had a fantastic time and are already beginning to plan another trip there down the road ! We greatly appreciated how on the UP EVERYTHING truly was and how wonderfully ran things went start to finish , it was a great vacation packed with fond memories, thank you Claire !! Also thanks for the thoughtful card and bottle of vino ... It was delicious ! OUR ONLY REGRET WE BE HAVING TO WAIT TILL OUR NEXT VISIT.
