Værelset er fint, stort og rummeligt. Det trækker ned, at døren til hotellet er lukket. Vi ringede på i 10 minutter, før vi blev lukket ind.

Lovely hotel in stunning Haltern town centre

Excellent hotel with great service at a very reasonable price! From a business guest perspective I would love a slightly faster WiFi and a laundry service but these are minor points.

Sehr zentrales Hotel mit Michelin-besterntem Restaurant. Die Zimmer sind offensichtlich erst partiell renoviert. Das Bad (von Zimmer 2) ist auf neuestem Stand. An den Möbeln hat der Zahn der Zeit aber schon ordentlich genagt. Dafür ist der "Heimweg" vom Platz im Restaurant unschlagbar kurz...

Das Hotel liegt zentral und ist mit dem Auto erreichbar. Die Verkehrsführung dorthin ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Im dunkeln ist es schwer den Parkplatz hinter dem Hotel mit der engen Einfahrt zu erkennen. Ein beleuchtetes Schild könnte Abhilfe schaffen. Auf dem engen Parkplatz angekommen, ist nicht zu erkennen, ob die offen stehenden Garagen mit genutzt werden dürfen oder sogar frei gehalten werden müssen. Einchecken in das zentral gelegene Hotel geht über eine Klingel. Die Tür wird einem geöffnet und man folgt zur Rezeption in den ersten Stock. Beim betreten des Zimmers schießt einem ein übler, kalter, nicht weichender Geruch aus Chlor und anderen, scharfen Putzmitteln in die Nase. Die Betten bzw. das Mobiliar ist veraltet; die braunen Bettschränkchen sind mit weißen Lichtschaltern versehen, Steckdosen sind hinten im Ablagefach "versteckt". Alles wirkt stark konstruiert. Die Matratzen hängen durch. Der Ventilator im Bad ist mit Wollmäusen zugesetzt, so dass bei automatischem Betrieb die Lüftung nur noch Lärm verbreitet, was den eines ICE überlagern würde. Natürlich läuft der Ventilator einige Minuten nach, so dass man nachts besser das Licht im Bad ausläßt, sollte man einmal die Toilette aufsuchen. Die Heizung läßt sich im Zimmer nur bedingt aufdrehen. Für Gäste, die es auch mal wärmer lieben, sicher keine geeignete Unterkunft. Am Frühstück gibt es nichts auszusetzen; der Kaffee war hervorragend.

Hyggelig by tæt på motorvej

Jeg tog en enkelt overnatning på vej mod Holland. Jeg ankom kl 21 og der lukkede hotellet desværre bade for mad og bar. Hotellet er dog placeret lige I centrum så der er massere af andre muligheder. Jeg var på 3.sal, der var Wi-Fi meget dårligt. Gratis parkering I garden, og billig morgenmad (6€) med et stort udvalg.

Zentrale Top-Lage, unterdurchschnittlicher Service

Die Lage des Hotels ist spitzenmäßig; zentraler geht es kaum! Ansonsten ist der Aufenthalt allerhöchsten durchschnittlich zu bewerten; unser Zimmer war geräumig und auch einigermaßen gepflegt (Zierkissen auf dem Bett von vorherigen Besuchern eindeutig benutzt, fremde Haare im Bett). Das Bad war klein, jedoch sehr sauber. Nachteil: Sehr unangenehmer Geruch aus dem Abfluß der Dusche. Wir mußten 24 Stunden am Tag das Licht eingeschaltet lassen, um die dazugehörige Abluft einschalten zu können, da der Geruch sonst unerträglich war und auch ins Zimmer zog. Wir haben dies der Inhaberin bei Abreise mitgeteilt; ihre Reaktion: "Wie zahlen Sie, mit EC oder Kreditkarte?". Auch ansonsten wirkte die Inhaberin fehl am Platze und wenig professionell; im Frühstücksraum wurde morgens mit großem Engagement abgeräumt und neu eingedeckt, anstatt die zwei besetzen Tische proaktiv zu bedienen und sich z. B. zu erkundigen, ob alles okay sei. Am Frühstücksbuffet nachgelegt wurde jeweils nur auf ausdrückliche Nachfrage. Die Inhaberin war sich nicht zu schade, sich vor den anderen Gästen darüber zu beschweren dass frühere Gäste diesen Umstand schonmal negativ bewertet hatten. Wir finden, wenn man am Ende seines Aufenthaltes noch nicht einmal danach gefragt wird, ob der Aufenthalt angenehm war und der Umstand, dass es im Bad höchst unangenehm roch, überhaupt nicht kommentiert wird, man diese Unprofessionalität nicht mit einem weiteren Aufenthalt oder gar einer Empfehlung belohnen muss. Nie wieder!

Great hotel in the middle of Haltern Am See

A most enjoyable stay in an excellent hotel - good location, staff friendly and very helpful, room clean and generously proportioned, buffet breakfast was good - I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accomodation in Haltern Am See. Looking forward to my next visit.
