“This is a self-contained resort with free SPA (i.e. a swimming pool) and sauna and a nice restaurant. It is just opposite to the Aulanko natural park which you can walk to the Aulangon lake. The rooms are fine and decent. Be reminded that it is on the opposite side of the river/canal of the Hame Castle. It takes around 30 minutes of bus from the hotel to the market square or castle. Bus runs around twice an hour.”

Best hotel of the town. Stay away from the over-priced Scandic Dumps like Aulanko.”

“Perfect summer cabin! We rented this for a midsummer vacation week and we're so happy we did. Location was ideal, between two major cities (Tampere & Hämeenlinna) with a grocery store just 10 minutes away if needed. The sauna is wood fired and wonderful. Just a few steps down to a semi-private lake, swimsuits recommended but still optional: neighboring cabins were busy over the holiday weekend but we still only saw neighbors at the lake 1-2 times, and not within speaking distance. The fire pit……

“Great place to stay in, fully equipped convenient, tranquil and in a beautiful location. We stayed in the property for 6 days and our only regret is that we didn't stay longer as there is so much to see and do nearby.”

“A wonderfully peaceful cabin retreat with both inside and lakeside saunas. We enjoyed being able to visit nearby Hammenlinna and the Iitalla glass factory in addition to enjoying the peace and quiet and nature of the place. The cabin is very well stocked, and there is ample firewood. The only potential negative is that there is only 1 toilet, so if a large group is staying there, be prepared for some very important scheduling! We would stay there again!”
