Where to begin? The desk lady presented herself as if she was doing you a favor for unlocking the door and receiving a guest. When given a key and basically informed that I was on my own from there out, I unlocked my room door and discovered the following: Admittedly, the room was clean. However, the room felt like a room an ex-convict would be given just after release from prison. The lighting was cold with no bedside table lamps. In the bathroom there were two tiny bars of the cheapest “soap” one could buy. The faucet spout in the tub was completely separated from the wall. When turned on, the hot water pipes screamed like an animal being slowly eaten alive. The A/C unit was “secured” to the window by Red Green himself (duct-tape for those unfamiliar with the reference). And the beds were outfitted with two miserly pillows accompanied by a single sheet and thin blanket. This room had all the charm of a heavily medicated iguana.

Very clean, quiet and can’t beat the price. It’s not luxury but very comfortable for what we were here for. A weekend with family and a place to sleep.

The heating was not controlled in each room. It was controlled by the management. It might be the same for the air conditioning too. The room became unbearably hot. We opened a window. I asked them to turn down the heat at about 9:30 pm. He said that he would turn down everybody’s heat in a few minutes, but until then we could keep our windows open. It eventually became tolerable by about 11 pm. The room was fine in terms of cleanliness etc. for the low price we paid and the convenience of location to our event and that we could park directly in front of our room and move our luggage etc. directly into the room’s own door. The big problem was all the noise and loud onerous talking banging and crashing sounds until 4 am especially from the family next door. Plus others. I don’t know if they were permanent residents there (room D?) or not. But we didn’t contact management about it because we were hoping they’d stop eventually. Even with earplugs in, they were loud. Only got about two hours sleep.
