"We had a great time! Vicky and Blake were very responsive to all our questions and the house was comfortable and reasonably well-equipped for cooking. The only thing we couldn’t find was a cutting board, but we didn’t think to ask for one so that was on us. The house was very easy to access from the beach. Highly recommend. "

"Location was perfect for me. I have a strong love of horses in my volunteer work of 7 years in Pennsylvania. I love learning! Mother Nature provided a serene environment with birds , stillness, and a gentle breeze. Cottage was clean, comfortable and functional. So smart! Host was very responsive. I got to spend an extra day. So happy about extending my stay. Location was ideal for me. Horses did graze right around the property. Businesses/ restaurants were all very friendly. Very pleasant and helpful. Renters should be aware when they desire to have food delivered to property. Need to check all details with delivery service provider. Delivery will take longer and there are restrictions as to where the restaurant or service provider will deliver. ( i. e. Milepost# ). Also, possibly weather conditions. My stay was bliss. Cannot wait to return to Corolla. Thank you for a much needed recharge and a time to heal for me. "

"Renee provided an amazing stay! The house and location were very nice and peaceful. They were very respectful and had great communication. If we needed something they were quick to make sure we were helped. The house was very clean and the arcade games are an amazing added bonus. We were able to have fires as well as a short trip to the beach. The outdoor shower was super helpful especially with our dog. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to be close to the beach but have some additional privacy in the woods. They had a bunch of beach necessities and some added extra goodies waiting for us. "

"The house was located on a 4 x 4 only beach, which would have been fine if we had been informed prior to our arrival about the conditions to expect and the proper way to navigate them. We arrived after dark, during high tide, with inflated tires. We should have been told to watch the tide charts because the beach becomes impassable at high tide. We were not, and barely made it to our turn off because it was a shortly after high tide. We should have been told about letting the air out of the tires to make driving on the beach doable, which we were not. This resulted in us getting stuck in the sand and a costly towing bill. We were advised against driving the beach at night by the tow truck driver who said it was very dangerous if you were unfamiliar with the beach. There are many hazards that could have ruined our vehicle if we hit one, luckily we didn’t. The constant monitoring and worrying over high tide and our schedule made for a miserable trip. We were obviously not from the area and consider it negligent that the leasing company did not give us any information other than we needed a four wheel drive vehicle. "

"The Carte’s were extremely pleased with our stay for the 2025 Labor Day holiday. The house was amazing, clean and Phil was extremely helpful with answering our questions about the area. The best part of our trip was by far the wild horses and the seclusion of the Rusty Crab. We recommend booking a visit at this house and giving it a 10 out of 10!!!"

"Amazing vacation house! Fully stocked kitchen, plenty of linens/towels, creature comforts all over like sound machines in rooms, Bluetooth speaker, games, throw blankets. Extremely clean. Property owner is very quick to respond and so nice. Would recommend this house to anybody wanting a perfect relaxing vacation. "
