Cute waterfront home

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint and stylish little getaway. It is equipped the basic essentials and very clean. It’s nice to have some serenity near the water but be only 15 minutes away from shopping and restaurants.

Family visit weekend

My family was in hampton to visit family who live there, and one in Navy. We liked the house, beds were comfy, kitchen great, but best part was location on the water.

Good trip

The house was well taken care of and the view is beautiful, my family had an amazing time and our dog really enjoyed the backyard. The hosts were quick and efficient when we had questions about the house and the house is close to many attractions like Bush Garden. Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely come back.

Fun and functional

Great for two families with kids. Very functional. Lovely view. Enjoyed nearby buckroe beach and the Grandview beach wildlife preserve. Enjoyed Brown chicken brown cow and Vanguard brewery too.

Cozy spot with a beautiful view

We picked this location given friends live nearby, but it exceeded expectations. Beautiful view, incredible sunrise, and the kids loved the fireplace. Hadn't realized the kids bunk room doesn't have a door to close, but luckily noise wasn't a problem.

Perfect little getaway!!

A group of us (family) got together from 2 states to visit a cousin and her husband who had just been stationed at Langley. The location to them was PERFECT! It was a great way for the rest of us to enjoy our stay and maximize our time together. It’s a little bit of a drive to the historic sights but that wasn’t a big problem. We LOVED sitting in the backyard watching the sun come up in the mornings before getting the day started and watching the sun go down after a long day. The house itself was cute, it has its quirks but was very clean and extremely comfortable. We highly recommend!!!

Nice stay

Nice quiet place. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Only downfall kitchen has no oven, but we made use of the charcoal grill provided. Bring your own BBQ tools. We like to cook kitchen lacking great pots, pans and utensils. We made do. Had a nice supply of spices and Harris Teeters is near by. The planes are not a big deal amazing to watch. Loved visiting Grandview. Amazing beach. Lots of wildlife. We would definitely stay again.

Getaway on the water

Very cute place. Cozy enclosed porch with awesome view of water. Very clean. Adequate kitchen. No oven was a disappointment. Enjoyed our stay.

Cozy family gathering

We loved our stay at Aviator’s Dream! My husband and I enjoyed a weekend with our daughter and her husband as well as our other daughter. The house was so cute and cozy. The backyard was perfect for enjoying the sunny weather. We loved being so close to the water. Our dog enjoyed the water as well! We walked in the Grandview Nature Preserve and also visited Buckroe Beach. Both were great beach walks. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Beautiful sunsets, and calming waters

The place was very clean, quiet, and calm. A dream stay. My dogs loved running around the yard with the neighbors doxie. Watchimg 4 run around was amazing. I even caugh a few fish in the backyard. I will be back every summer. Also the respond very quick, and ade super healpful. That meant a lot.

This property was beautifully located in a quiet neighborhood. The neighbors were fantastic and had great suggestions. We loved time spent out in the yard. Everything we needed was close by. Absolutely beautiful

This is the reservation to get if you want to stay in Virginia. We absolutely loved it. It does not hurt that it has the most beautiful backyard with the most incredible view of the water. It is so calming and it felt like we were at a yoga retreat. The house itself is beautiful, and I will say that the furniture is a little bit older, but to me that was part of the charm. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was wonderful. We don't have any complaints. This was wonderful for our family and I cannot recommend it any more. For the price, it is an incredible deal and the Jets that flew over, mostly in the morning, were not a bother at all but quite cool to watch. If I ever come back to Virginia, this is the place I would choose. Just phenomenal. Great location with beautiful wildlife all over and it was just incredible. We loved it!

Terrible

No lighting outside throughout the entire house. Outside needs major upgrades. Very dangerous trying to use your cell phone light to see with only one light by the front door in and wooded area. The outside has no driveway just rocks and gravel. This was not disclosed prior to booking. Also the beds/sofa was extremely hard. Stay away from this property.

Clean and quiet with a great view

We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights. The property is clean and neighborhood was nice. The jets from Langley were fun to see and not too loud for us at all. The view of the river is fabulous from sunrise to sunset. The kitchen has wonderful natural light from the windows and skylights. The photos online are applicable as of May 2025 with the only change being the new rock pile at the property line to the water. As others have mentioned, be aware there is no oven in the kitchen (just a range) and no door to the bedroom with the bunk beds. We had no issue with either item. For clarification, the fire pit is the fireplace in the photos (not a fire pit out on the grounds that you would sit around). Bring grilling tools for the charcoal grill.Communication with the Sojourn property staff was fabulous from beginning to end. Always quick and courteous responses, taking any stress away for the stay. Amenities in the house were great: linens, towels, paper towels, hand soap, hair dryer, iron/board, plates/glasses/utensils, basic seasonings, etc. Always a great help to have these basics. There is a shopping center within a short drive with a super market, pizza etc. We were in town to visit family but had some downtime to check out Grandview and Buckroe beaches.
