I stayed here with my husband and 2 and 3 year old.
The finishes and updates are very nice, especially for the neighborhood which was super dicey. I should have checked Google Maps beforehand, but figured it would be nice at the price point it was at. The house is surrounded by some old trailers, old beat-up homes and boarded up liquor stores and such and there's lots of nighttime activity in the surrounding homes. I felt safer knowing there was a church across the street, but was overall a little on edge and wouldn't stay again simply because of the neighborhood. Everything else was tolerable.
The house was pretty clean, which I appreciated. It was a little tough to have small kids in this house because of the steep stairs with no carpet. We ended up buying a gate and left it for future tenants with small children.
Pros: There were paper goods to get us through the first night, cleanliness was pretty good, updated amenities, 3 bathrooms, close driving to downtown (~15 minutes), beds were really comfortable. They had a little kids kitchenette and simple toys, which my kids thoroughly enjoyed!
Cons: Bathroom upstairs - low pressure, would run out of heat after 5 minutes, no grips and very slippery, sliding door instead of fully closing door, so lack of privacy if staying with non-family. Neighborhood is dicey - worried about all the people hanging out in front of gas stations and liquor stores around, empty beat up homes around, lots of modular homes. Tons of bugs - I realize they get the house serviced for bugs, but there was a pot out front filled with sitting water. so mosquito heaven, 2 large cockroaches in our upstairs bedroom (but pretty normal for summer), The area stinks, not sure if it's the giant plant nearby, but dang it was a stinky neighborhood. We basically didn't go outside while at the house. Steep stairs for small kids - we provided gate, so hopefully still there if you need it.
