"Overall the property was wonderful. Peter was a great host and very responsive during the check in process. We were not able to have room access until 4pm, which is understandable due to the thorough cleaning of the room. The photos of the lanai are not exaggerated at all, the view is amazing. Comfortable bed, A/C, and a large bathroom and shower. The only minor complaint would be no sink by the kitchenette area, but washing in the bathroom sink is fine. The property grounds had 2 great restaurants, a nice pool and the beach is walkable. There is a shuttle service as well. We look forward to returning and are not even considering another property!"

"The condo is exactly as pictured and described. The views from the balcony are AMAZING! We enjoyed watching the sunset from it each night. The condo was clean and comfortable. The only downside of the condo was there is no microwave. We assumed this was due to it being a hideaway suite and the main suite had the full kitchen. However there was a mini refrigerator and coffee maker. We appreciated the beach chairs that were with the unit. However we were disappointed with Hanalei Bay Resort itself. It has a case of split personality. Is it a condo complex or resort? When we travel we have different expectations for a condo complex vs a resort. We went into the stay expecting it be a resort but it really had more of a condo complex feel. Some disappointments: no place on property to get a real breakfast or lunch, no food/drink service at the pool area, only 2 coin operated laundry machines, no place to put trash(there was daily pick up in the AM and PM but it was weird to leave a trash bag outside and hope someone picked it up), and no recycling. Also parking is a nightmare. You get a parking pass but you aren’t guaranteed a spot. There are two dinner restaurants on property that create a hectic parking situation in the evenings. A few times we had to park illegally and have the valet/front desk move our car when a spot became available. To be clear all minor things and again those are directed at HBR not this specific unit. The condo itself was great."

"The studio was thoughtfully appointed, but could use some updates. Lots of extension cords! There were lots of property fees ( check in fee, parking, resort fees) that we weren’t completely prepared for. The resort is fun, lots of activities and lovely location, but because it is on a bluff over the beach - there are lots of hills to negotiate. The views are fantastic, and the hills are worth it - but just be prepared to walk uphill."

"What a dream this rental property was!It is centrally located to all the must see spots in Hanalei - about a 5 minute walk to the Hanalei Beach Pavilion, about 8 minute walk to the Pier and about 12 minutes walk to Ching Young Village. It is perfect for 2 people, a king sized bed, large bathroom and common area, and a gorgeous lanai to enjoy the elements but also protected from the inevitable Kauai rain. There is a Very private (and enormous) lawn, a completely private outdoor shower, washer and dryer, and a covered space equipped with beach essentials (umbrella, chairs, cooler, wagon) and to hang any wet clothing. The house is located behind another house right off Weke road which proved to be quiet, private, and luscious. The rental company initiated communication before we arrived to ensure we had a smooth check in and was quick to respond to our questions, via text. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay there again!"
