Stay was amazing and staff was very helpful even though this room was privately owned. Hot tub and pool area was clean. There was no sauna which was listed on the VRBO listing and would also suggest if you have more than one person in this room, you bring extra silverware.

The room and building in general was very clean. Bed was good. Very cozy location. No hassles. Located close enough to Galena. They have a coffee maker and coffee, but no creamer/sugar. I would suggest bringing extras for coffee if that is how you drink it :) Otherwise, great!

Holiday weekend away..

The unit was nicely decorated. Sitting on futon bed/couch was kinda comfortable to sit at. The bistro table was nice but chairs are not comfortable and unsteady to sit on. The bed needs help..not comfortable and the frame needs to tightened. But slept ok. The bathroom..needs more HOOKS to hang up towels, etc. The a/c worked good considering the pool was right down the hall with the humidity and the weather was extremely hot out..90's. Unit was a good location for the pool/hot tub.

Good room, bad experience

The room was beautiful. We loved the hot tub in the room and the fireplace. We were not informed that the entire floor was under construction. There were loud banging noises, fragments on the carpet, and workers all over the hallway. We were awoken by a worker at 6 am who was working on the construction. They tried to get into our room and disturbed our stay. Besides this, the stay was beautiful and well worth it.

Galena Longhollow studio

The studio apartment was nice, but the lighting is poor. The air conditioner needs to be replaced. It is too noisy and made sleep difficult. The screen door doesn’t latch on the deck. We had to keep the main sliding door open, since the air conditioner was too noisy, so that we could get a breath of fresh air, and as a result our apartment was not secure at night. This is something that has come up in reviews before. More hand towels and washcloths are needed in the bathroom. We like hard mattresses and this seemed to be a pillow top, so it took a toll on our backs. My allergies flared up in this apartment. Is it mildew; were pets allowed in? Could just be that I am sensitive to such things. My husband was fine. The complex is very nice. We enjoyed the game room. The pool and hot tub are nice. This apartment is an affordable and adequate stay in Galena.

Nice room, but…

We have stayed here a few times, always in the same room. We love the amenities and location. The only issue is the wall air conditioner. It drips constantly, 24/7. We have to put a towel on it to silence it. We have mentioned this to the front desk when they ask how everything is. We will return but hopefully in a different room.

Galena Ballon Race Weekend

Property was clean fairly well taken care of but decor was dated. HVAC unit was very noisy as was the bathroom vent fan. Besides those 2 issues it was a pleasant stay.

Great weekend getaway!

Great little studio. Comfy bed, expandable table w 2 chairs for dining/games. kitchenette was great- coffee, toaster microwave, silverware, fridge. Nice game room w pool, ping pong, retro video games, gym. pool and hot tub. A few minutes outside of town so perfect location if not staying on main drag.

Perfect!!!

We had a wedding at a venue nearby. This rental was absolutely perfect for my daughter (age 19) and I. The bed was extremely comfortable, and my daughter reported the futon was also very comfortable. The bathtub was HUGE!! There was also adequate plates and glasses for a quick snack between shopping and the wedding. The pool was the cleanest hotel pool we have ever saw and the workout facilities were clean and met our needs. We were pleasantly surprised…. And the rental fee was nearly $300 cheaper than what it would have cost for staying at the resort where the wedding was held!! We will stay again for sure!! Check in was extremely easy and the Wyndham staff was very friendly! Perfect get away for us!!

September Weekend Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Longhollow Point Inn. The room had a queen bed, comfy futon, table with 2 chairs, microwave, sink and refrigerator, dishes, utensils, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, iron and ironing board, and lots of linens and towels . So many linens and towels that we couldn't put our clothes in the dresser. Also, there were only 3 hangers in the closet, so we had to live out of our suitcases. The air conditioner was very loud when it kicked on, and when it was off we could hear dripping from the unit above. The room is on the first floor and has a small porch with two chairs. The bath shows some age and has a large jetted tub and separate shower, and a two=way gas fireplace that can be viewed from the main room and from the bath. The property has a beautiful pool and jacuzzi, a billiard table, ping pong table and video games in rooms with operable tvs, and all are free. There are grills outside the pool area. The property is about 8 miles from Galena on Route 20 and the ride goes up and down the mountainsides and is also very curvy, but a beautiful view. We were satisfied with our stay, but this property could definitely use some updating and there was no restaurant anywhere nearby.
