「Very cute a-frame in pleasant neighborhood, home is totally private as it is surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubs. Home is very clean and well organized, lots of amenities and I loved that there was no tv though the boys grumbled a little at first (they ended the trip saying it was nice to not have the tv)! Super quick drive to Maxwelton beach. Host is very attentive and kind. Would highly recommend this property if you’re staying on Whidby!」

「Special and rare because it has everything we were looking for in a great setting. Excellent craftsmanship in the construction and perfect attention to detail. No need to look for instructions on where things are or how to operate anything and meticulous attention to cleanliness and maintenance. No noise or distractions, couldn't think of anything lacking.」

「It was a beautiful, peaceful place. There was a picturesque deck that opened onto a dock. If the weather had been better, we would have loved to try out the kayaks.」

「Our stay at The Cabin was just great! The weather allowed the three kids in our party to play outside for hours and hours—they loved the lawn when the tide was high and the beach when the tide was low. Everyone was charmed by the log cabin interior and the stairs to the third bedroom were fun for us. The kitchen and bathrooms were nice and we appreciated the seating options since there were seven of us. I’m not sure when we’ll have the opportunity to go back but would consider The Cabin again!」

「Our stay was amazingly peaceful and for our family to join at a mutual location it was ideal - beautiful walks on the beach and the overall charm of the place made for a perfect Christmas--very spacious, beds perfect and the home had all the cooking utensils, gadgets, platters etc to accommodate our meals. Our host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We will for sure return for another visit!」

「If you're looking for the perfect place to relax and get some perspective on life, this is it. If you're fussy about every little detail, maybe this isn't. The awesome view, the privacy, the sauna, comfortable beds, great wood burning fireplace, all the important things are here. It's very rural, so as you might expect, the decks were covered in leaves, pine cones, broken branches, plus quite a few cobwebs throughout the house, things we read other renters complain about but don't bother us....

「This property is exactly as described and we loved our short stay. Some highlights were the amazingly comfortable beds, the daybed in the sunroom, the sunroom overlooking the bay, the hot tub, playing games, foraging for and eating fresh (and grilled) oysters, walks on the beach, seeing bald eagles and seals, kayaking, the kitchen, taking senior pictures in such an incredible location and so much more… cleanliness is a clear priority to this host and that was appreciated. Touches like a basket...

We had thought it would be a little closer to the beach but the walk really wasn’t too bad. The road noise was a bit irritating when you hanging out outside but didn’t affect our sleep. 「Such a cute little house. We only ran into a couple of issues. There were bugs that found their way into the house (like a lot of lady bugs) but the weather was just warming up. The other was that the shower was slow to drain. If you have more people staying, the only bathroom is located inside the main bedroom, so if people take late night bathroom trips that can be an issue. We loved the location and the property was so clean. The views were stunning and the hot tub was a huge plus!...

「This was our second time staying at this property and we liked it as much the second time as the first! Our dog loves the fenced in yard (though she was able to get in under the deck, so if that could be closed off that would fantastic.) Plenty of space for a family of four. Great location and we love walking around the neighborhood and enjoying the view from the deck. Highly recommend!」

「The property's best feature is the amazing view. The area is nice and the house had lots of books, lamps, kitchen supplies and things to make it comfortable. Vacasa is another story. Very difficult in their correspondence and an unusually early check out time of 10 am. When asking for check out at 11 am, I finally heard back and they offered 2 pm for an extra charge! Rip off. Never was connected to the hosts, just Vacasa reps.」

「Everrything was so clean, it was quiet. We walked easily to downtown historic Ballard. It was so easy to get Uber when we wanted to go further out from Ballard. Wonderful place! Highly recommend!!」
