Cozy Cottage
My boyfriend and I booked this trip and he actually proposed during our trip! We loved coming back to the cozy studio cottage. The view from bed is beautiful , the stars at night were breath taking! Easy to check in, place was clean the one minor thing was the couch bed is not the best for the back but is cozy and soft. We will be back !

disappointing place
From the description online we expected a cool & cozy place both indoor and outdoor. While the potential is surely there, and to be fair the place inside is very clean, it is very simple and basic. Secondly, while in the photos you see a sofa and you see a bed, in reality the sofa is your bed, and it is totally not practical to undo the bed and close the sofa in the morning as there is nowhere to put the linen, so in reality the only place to sit is on the high chairs in the kitchen area. Some of the outdoor furniture is very unwelcoming (to say the least) and the “garden” has not seen a gardner for far too long. As we arrived very late we left first thing in the morning although we booked and payed for 3 nights. We expected a more accurate description from VRBO!

It is unfortunate that this guest did not read all the captions which have been in place for 14 years which were assisted by the VRBO team when we initially placed our property, which is my parent's and several repeat guests favorite place to stay. Our pictures of the front of the property are not even updated with all added outdoor items such as a table with brand new umbrella, two chairs with cushions facing the ocean and a grill. No picture of the hammock which many have loved over the years, (have had wonderful pictures of pets with their owners in that hammock sent to us) as well as many photos of folks using the granite firepit. We have had a tough summer with tons of rain and had to deal with landscapers being backlogged due to it; however, because we have commercial properties and many landscapers to help, we have been lucky enough to have them assisting us at no less than once every 2 weeks this entire summer which has not been the luck of many of our friends down here that have houses or rentals. These guests left the cottage the worst we have seen it in years so they too will receive a negative guest review for VRBO, Airbnb and Expedia to see. Unfortunately, they must have not read all the captions of the pictures. The guests after them spent every morning sitting outside enjoying the geese migrating north and all the ducks and lobster boats.

This beautiful little cottage was everything as advertised! It is a wonderful location and within an hour of most anything you would want to see. Harpswell is a wonderful community and Amy and Dan are great owners. Would seek this booking for a return trip.

Soothing sound!
This is a quaint cottage with nice views of the water in one of Maine’s finger islands. Great area for hiking. The owners have been great with their recommendations and communications.

A place to recharge
Spectacular view! Good location near many great places to eat. Excellent amenities and the space is large enough for two and a dog. The only negative was the pull out sleeper couch was a little too soft and sank in the middle. A board underneath the mattress may solve the problem. The grill was great for grilling lobsters - the best way to eat them! We would definitely come back!

Cozy Oceanview Getaway
My husband and I really enjoyed the peaceful, out of they way location. The view eating from the porch was beautiful. We both were remote working, and the internet was fantastic, no issues. While the space is very small, as advertised, it was very clean and up to date, especially the bathroom and shower. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Would recommend for a couple looking for a quiet getaway.

Wonderful Waterfront Cottage
What a sweet little place with everything you could need for a cozy getaway. Nice kitchen; good shower and hot water; great deck and an outstanding view. My only disappointment was the bed. It was too soft for me. This was mentioned in the comments, and the hosts clearly have tried to make things better by adding two foam toppers. The other point was it was kind of a downer not to be able to easily turn the bed back into a sofa. Other than that, it was a lovely stay!

Great View
The views are incredible lobster boats going out every day the neighborhood is very nice it’s close to a nice shopping area and we went to a great farmers market.Beaches nearby and plenty of restaurants to choose from.Dog friendly we bought our pug Sadie lots of friendly dogs walking around.The house was cozy had everything you could need and if you needed anything Amy the very nice owner was more than happy to get it for you.Amy was so nice and had lots of helpful information she’s also a great IT person 😊We plan on returning again soon.

This property is exactly like the pictures. Perfect location to travel up and down the coast of Maine. I felt like I was in a tree house above the water. We woke to the sound and sites of the lobster boats going out in the morning. Could not have asked for better hosts!!! it is very private in a quiet neighborhood. Our big dog felt right at home also😂 seriously we drove to Penaquit Point Lighthouse one day. Bangor and through Acadia one day. Up to Lubec one day although that was a long day. Close to Bailey Island and Orr Island and the hosts gave us a list of beaches that were dog friendly. I love Maine have been four times will come back here.

Great place
Communication with owner was superb. Check-in and check-out procedures were simple. Excellent view of the sound. Neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Owner loves dog and makes your stay welcoming. Highly recommend.

The cottage was perfect all around. The morning sunrise seals the deal. A cozy place to stay with your partner. Communication the host was also very good. Definitely would recommend this stay even if you have a long drive to get here

My girlfriend and I stayed here for the weekend of my 28th birthday. We had so much fun you couldn’t wipe the smiles from our faces. Stunning little cottage that is a perfect cozy romantic get away. We utilized the fire pit (with firewood left by the owners which was amazing). Layed in the hammoc in the morning. Bathroom is clean and they kitchen is stocked with supplies you’ll need for coffee and basic cooking. The only constructive criticism I have is that a new bed / sleeping arrangement should be considered by the owners. The pull out sofa sags in the middle and is quite uncomfortable and difficult to sleep if you and your partner aren’t cuddled up real close. A new bed or updated pull out sofa would make this a 5 star stay across the board. Regardless, we can’t wait to book again and come back. An excrement weekend I’ll remember forever.

From the spectacular sunrises to the beautiful sunsets, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare meals. Amazing cottage stay!
This was our first VRBO. We will be back. What a beautiful retreat. All instructions regarding check in were very clear and precise. The space is perfect for 2 adults to enjoy much needed alone time. We used the firepit upon arrival. Enjoyed the sunset and all the birds that surrounded us. The bed is a super comfy pull out sofa. The topper is in the closet. Really easy to put together. We opened the windows with ease and enjoyed the fall air. Parking was super easy. We were visiting the area for a wedding. We were very happy we decided to go off the beaten path. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing and recharging getaway!

Stayed at this property in Harpswell for 4 nights. Hostess Amy was very attentive and helpful. Property was small but had everything we needed with a gorgeous view of the water! Plenty of things to do in nearby Brunswick and easy access to other nearby attractions. Would gladly stay there again.

Dissatisfied upon arrival
The access to this property was difficult, pathway to front door uneven and awkward. The deck and firepit area in the patio were in disrepair. The door was open and there was nobody on the premises. The baseboards in the bathroom were rusted, but the worse problem was that the windows did not open. (even with the wrench left for the task). The host contacted by phone and said "too bad. the windows won't be fixed until next week". Since the locked windows represented a fire hazzard, we were unable to stay. VRBO notified of the issues at the time. They could offer no solution and we informed them that were were not staying and left inmediately.

Luxury? Not so much.
Great location, terrific water view. However, the place is tiny, poorly set up and needs some TLC. The pull-out bed sags badly and is cumbersome to operate (a futon would be much better). Because the mattress cover takes up closet space, there is no space for clothes or suitcases. Handles on the picture window were inoperable, so the side windows could only be operated with a wrench (supplied). Many details (e.g., refrigerator door opening to the wrong side; no decent cutting board; no bread knife, etc.) show lack of thoughtful care. The deck has seen better days, and the yard is an eyesore. With a little thought, this could be a gem.

Beautiful cottage on the water
My husband and I stayed the week with our dog. We absolutely loved it! The cottage is clean and has a great kitchen area. The view is just lovely..right on the water. We loved hanging out on the deck and visiting Bailey island,climbing the great stairs and hanging on some of the dog friendly beaches. Amy is lovely and genuinely invested in helping you make the most of your stay. We are so greatful to have had this great vacation. Portland and Freeport are also close enough to visit. We would highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

Great little getaway
We had a great stay here for a mini baby-moon getaway with my husband and dog! One thing I would say is that it wasn't communicated to us that there was a mattress topper to put over the pullout bed and we slept on the pull out without it one night and it was terrible, so definitely make sure you get the topper from the closet! Otherwise we loved the house!

Perfect getaway!
This cottage is in a great location with the best view. Lovely to wake up in the morning and have coffee on the deck looking over the water. The only thing for us was the sleeping situation and maybe I did not look into it as much as I should have but, the bed is essentially a sleeping pad on the floor. Again, the view makes the stay a great one but something to be aware of.

HI Haley, I am so glad you like the location and property. I am sorry that you did not know that the 4 inch mattress topper goes on top of the bedframe. We also had another foam one if that wasn't exactly perfect for you that could be put on top as well. The sheets we have are deep pocket to go over both. We hope you give it another try.

Adorable waterview cottage
Cozy but so charming ocean view cottage! Great features (modernized, clean unit), great outdoor space (deck, BBQ, hammock, fire pit, grassy area for dog). The view is outstanding, and if you are up early enough, you’ll catch a great sunrise. Amy (the host) was so accommodating and friendly. We will stay here again!

This property is truly peaceful with spectacular water views. The host Amy was super accommodating and let us check in early and use her house WiFi for a Zoom meeting I needed to accomplish well before check-in. Amy also let us enjoy an extended checkout time. I would definitely book again. Lovely place, and lovely hosts.

Perfect Cottage for two. Well maintained property, equipped with the essentials that delivered on its promises of an ocean overlook with great views in a tranquil setting. Easy exploration of the surrounding area from this location. Lobsters from Erica's Seafood tops our list of memorable experiences. Amy is an accommodating, unobtrusive hostess, concerned about the welfare of her guests.

We had a wonderful weekend in Harpswell and surrounding areas with our 2 dogs! Cottage is clean and inviting and soooo relaxing by the water. 2 Eagles came to perch on a tree right outside the cottage. We would definitely recommend this place!
