「I stayed two nights - first night I was put in a room by the road, and the road noise was unbearable. Room itself was nice except for bathroom which had a broken shower mixing cartridge making it hard to find the exact spot where you could get hot water.
Front desk person was in office by 8:15am and was very helpful in switching me to another room. Second room was away from the road and much nicer! Staff is excellent here, but breakfast/coffee at 7:30 is a bit late for early risers. Both...

「Good solid spot to stop for a night. On a busy road and not a super walkable area. The outside doors didn't work properly and the wait to check in was absurdly long, one staff working a busy desk, not his fault at all. The room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.」

「My husband and I spent the weekend at this hotel. It was a wonderful weekend! The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. Everything was nice and comfortable. The pool, soak tub and hot tubs were amazing. We were able to walk to any thing we could have desired and as usual Salida was beautiful! We cannot wait to stay at the Loyal Duke again and next time bring the whole family.」

「The hot tub was in working order (unlike at many properties claiming hot tubs). I appreciated a small night light in the bath. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's unprepossessing, but it works and is comfortable.」
