“A kind and safe sanctuary (Calaidh - is a safe port or sanctuary in Gaelic) in the old world port of Stornoway. The hotel is fitted out very nicely and also has a nice restaurant and bar. Location is outstanding. Near the port - near the downtown (shopping or touring or entertainment). The grocery store is a 2 minute walk. Off street parking was excellent. Staff were lovely. Full marks - all the way.”

“This was a magical place to stay. I loved the standalone bath and the log burning stove. The views were incredible. I loved the touches of board games being available in the rooms and we enjoyed a game of Scrabble. The room felt like pure luxury and the taste in furniture and decor was impeccable - loved the tartan blanket company throw. We will definitely be back for a future special occasion!”

“This is no ordinary pod. It is beautifully presented with so much thought given to it's furnishing. I didn't expect to find a wine fridge or induction hob, but there they were. The towels are luxurious and the toiletries are classy. There are even pods provided for the Nespresso machine! The fridge is stocked with essentials, and even some non-essential treats. Just as importantly, I was given a proper warm welcome on arrival. I loved my stay here. PS The eggs were delicious.”

“The hosts Alex and Katie are a young couple doing a great job running this small boutique hotel! It is is older building however it is well kept up and clean. The rooms are comfortable and provide all necessary amenities. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We would definitely stay here again!”
