Everything was truly 1st class, from the beautiful suite we stayed in, the incredible breakfast washed down with bubbly (how decadent) and two of the most generous, warm, interesting and welcoming couple you could ever meet. The location is fantastic for Tenterden and other nearby spots (eg Chapel Down) and the cottage itself is superbly kitted out to a very high standard. Add to that the excellent hosts and oh so thoughtful little touches, and I’ve no hesitation in thoroughly recommending it to anyone looking for a fantastic self catering away break."

She asks your name, and continues to use it in such a friendly manner that you feel like she sees you as a friend staying with her, rather than a paying guest. The breakfasts are very good and you never feel rushed to eat up and leave the breakfast room. Location wise it is spot on, with everything you need only a few minutes walk away. "We had a great stay at Albert and Victoria Guesthouse. A super friendly welcome from the host on arrival, our room was lovely, spacious, clean and had the added touch of bottled water, chocolates and lovely biscuits, and a Nespresso coffee maker and pods. Comfortable bed, plenty of space in ensuite bathroom. Tasty fresh cooked breakfast, and the lovely addition of a bowl of fresh fruit salad at the table on arrival. Great location, just a few minutes walk from the seafront. Highly recommended."

"Excellent! Didn’t really have any interaction with staff but they provided a great stay and made it extremely pleasant for us. The room was so cosy and had everything we needed. Close proximity to the village green meant we could walk there for food, drinks or just to explore the surrounding area. Such a lovely stay that we’d definitely be returning again! "

"Lovely home made cooked breakfast to order. We were in the suite room lovely living space, futon bed was a little uncomfortable but memory foam used so may just be us. Everywhere was very clean, nice tea and coffee, decor and a well laid out bathroom. Was quite noisy in the morning and could hear breakfast being laid and noise from upstairs bedroom with people walking around. Overal a lovely stay and very friendly owner. "

"It was a lovely place to stay in the middle of nowhere. Nice room, though not terribly big, and disappointing that there was only a hand shower over the bath. Apart from that everything lovely, thick towels and dressing gowns, duvet was SO cosy. Fresh coffee and cafetiere in the room - breakfast was amazing."

"The stable was much bigger than the photos show & was veer clean & spacious with everything to hand. The owners Jan & Nick have thought of everything. The garden & woods are lovely, we were lucky to be there with the bluebells in full bloom. Enjoyed seeing all the animals including horses, rabbits, squirrels & lots of different birds. The stars are amazing when the night sky is clear. Lots of places to visit, we went to Rye, Hastings, Canterbury & Bodiam Castle."

"We spent 3 nights in this lovely cottage within the country Park, the cottage is incredibly well equipped in the kitchen , the views are amazing, all the way along the coast, Pett levels, Rye, Camber sands, Dungeness and in one particularly clear night France! Karen responded to queries immediately and was an excellent host. I certainly recommend this cottage."

"The flat was in a great location and Martyn the host was very helpful. It’s a large, light and airy space with 2 good sized bedrooms and a huge lounge/diner (though we tended to eat in the kitchen). The decor is very neutral & everywhere is very clean. We would definitely stay again."
