really impressed by the hotel and the bellhop, but dissapointed at most of the staff.
The hotell was really beautiful with a perfect location on the beach.
great facillities and entertainment area.
the waitreses and all of the resturant staff could do a lot better in coustumerservice.
The lady in the conivinence store was a really nice lady. and so was the cleaning lady assigned to our room.
the bellhop who helped us was trully a nice person and very helpfull and not forget very professional. he showed us arround the island and took us places and gave us a great experince of the island. he expected nothing in return like most others. a huge thanks to him for making our Barbados experience more than we ever expected. all thanks to R.L
On arrival we were upgraded to a seaview suite when I had booked a garden view room so that was a nice touch. Hotel is right on the beach and the staff from the manager to the cleaners were the happiest most friendly people I have dealt with. The hotel is conveniently situated for exploring the island, there is a bus stop right outside and you can travel anywhere for 2 Barbados dollars, 60p in English money. The local people themselves are extremely friendly and the island has a very low crime rate so travelling around is very safe. Needless to say I am planning next years trip already to this great hotel and wonderful island

Not bad
Not bad for the money we paid - I may however have been disappointed if I had paid a lot for a holiday here - one bedroom apartment was good size and clean - kitchen cooking facilities basic only two rings and a microwave but had a fridge freezer toaster and coffee maker. Beach good although the sea seems to get rough in the afternoon and a but stoney going into the sea. Nice walks along the beach and to the boardwalk. Overall good 3 star accommodation - but if your looking for luxury go elsewhere and in Barbados. You will pay for it.
The hotel is ok because it's right at the beach. It's clean, and the staff were friendly, except the restaurant staff. I do not recommend eating at their restaurant. The food was horrendous and overpriced. We were greatly disappointed, other guest had the same complaint -- not worth eating there. Out complaint went no where, it was ignored. We are not staying there again.
Unable to Rate this Hotel - my confirmed room ....
Most frustrated by Amaryllis beach Resort double booking my room due to the local annual Race Meeting being held the next day. Although I checked-in before 11.15 pm I was kept waiting then told by Management that I had to go to a neighbouring hotel (Savannah Resort I believe). I was expected to walk myself and my heavy suitcase, in the dark, up a steep incline. The hotel seemed of a lesser rating for which I received no rebate, and the room lacked certain items of necessary linen that was finally addressed by the Night Manager.
We love this place, it is location on the beach is the best in barbados!! we have stayed on the West coast and at various other resorts and this is simply wonderful. We always have a room with an ocean view right on the beach and sitting on the balcony is the most peaceful thing listening to the waves and watching the sun go down.
The staff are brilliant, polite & friendly and just cant do enough for you. When we had a problem with our air conditioning we spoke to Victor and the problem was solved immediately with the sincerest of apologies.
The hotel and beach are kept clean & the staff are happy to help you with anything you need.
We went to the horse racing (the track is only just up the road) they race every saturday and it was a great day out.
Would strongly recommend this lovely caribbean hotel.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
really tired and dirty especially around beach
Had a pleasant stay - hotel is in great location on a nice beach - but hotel is really tired and just about worthy of its 3 star rating - feels very much like a budget motel. Only had breakfast in hotel once, which was enough ! If you are looking for a budget hotel at a low price, this is ok - but there are much better ones in Barbados

Amaryllis
Lovely beach setting ,ideal for long beach walks. A good location for restaurants and for getting buses all over the island closes to the race course and the garrison. The room are a fair size with everything you need the decor is tired and dated and is kept very clean and the sea views are fabulous .The service can be on the slow side but then again the pace of life in Barbados is also a lot slower .The staff are all lovely polite and professional
Amarylis was the perfect location for us with a beach a stones throw from our room. Great walks along the beaches in both directions. Just a few hundred yards from racetrack to go early morning and watch horses train. Plenty of nearby restaurants and bars, local buses easy to use to anywhere on the island. Will definately go again.

Nice beach and a little lagoon
Nice beach, kind staff, cheap but still clean. Wifi pretty poor, should be available on the whole hotel area.
Expedia got me a great deal on a garden room suite...I extended my stay through expedia and got the same great rate. The hotel is on a lovely beach and beautiful pool. Its less than a half hour from the airport. Its close to the boardwalk that has two great restaurants and close to many others.Bridgetown is only ten minutes away.If you don't rent a car there is a bus stop right outside and vans that will take you around.Ive been going to Barbados for ten years....best trip ever...I will go back
Lovely beach for swimming.
Many palm trees for relaxing in the shade if you like.
Very efficient staff - always willing to help.
Not a large variety of foods at the buffet - but quite enough for a great meal.
Did not like paying for 30 minutes of internet for our boarding passes - but whatever.....
We had a lovely, relaxing time with white sand beaches and beautiful blue waters to enjoy.

Ok Hotel, for relaxing by the Beach
I would recommend this hotel if you only wanted to relax by the beach for your holiday. Ocean View rooms are very close to the beach, so easy access is gained and I would opt for these over the Garden View for obvious reasons. The gym is Ok but aparatus are a little dated. Hotel Wi-Fi was poor for its surcharge of BD$100 for 1 device for the week (please request your account has additional devices if you do take the paid option) although only really worked in the onsite bars and reception which were FREE areas. Although the Hotel is close to all local bars and restaurants so is in good walking distance to get out and experience St Lawrence's Gap and Oistins Fish Fry on a Friday night.
For our fifth visit in six years, we found little change except for the better. The exterior is getting a new coat of paint, and the gardens are in fine shape after winter. Each time we go back we find staff greeting us like long-lost friends. The beach is wide and sandy, with its protective ring of stones holding back the surf; this makes for a serene peaceful swim.
The Turtle's Nest Bar and Restuarant, which are right on the beach, makes a fine place for lunch, afternoon snack,or Sundowner and has always been one of our favourite passtimes.
The studios whether Garden-view or Ocean-view are very bright, cheerful and roomy.
We have stayed there now seven times and really like the beach and the location, it is very close to the boardwalk and the ease of which you can get most places by bus from the hotel. Hotel staff is very friendly and have gotten to know many of them like family over the years. Hated to come home!
Simple services in poor repair-- phone, safe (for which there is a charge.) Food is mediocre and ambience creepy. Simple amenities like a towel rack next to the sink (which is too low) missing.
OK hotel - men noterade följande: Gammal, otidsenlig tjock TV, Inget kallvatten i duschen - bara varmt!!,Hotellt gav trött intryck,Annars OK och bra läge
Fantastic resort, great accomodations, good food-watch out for the rum punch!! Staff were extremely friendly and made you feel very welcome there. Wifi wasn't very good, but who cares-i was on holidays!!!!
This is the second year we have stayed at the Amaryllis Beach Resort. From our point of view the location is ideal, but anyone would have to agree the grounds and beach are its best features. We are not impressed with the variety of food in the main restaurant and pity anyone who opts for all-inclusive. We found the staff universally friendly and helpful (as are the majority of Bajans).
Room was located right on the beach , great view from my balcony , only problem was my room was located next to the public walkway that accessed hotel! Seemed someone was always walking by not much privacy with hotel staff coming and going and other guest!
I've never stayed in a hotel were I've had to pay for in room safe either!
Bathrooms need updating , guess it's a good thing I'm short because there was very little leg room between the wall and the toilet anyone over 5'5" would need to sit sideways on the toilet ! Lol
I had a great first experience in Barbados , people are so friendly ! I will difenatly be back
