"The hotel is located in a quite small town close to Linderhof palace. It works well as a gateway to Zugspitze in the south and Neuschwanstein in the west. The room is big, clean and modern. The restaurant and the breakfast are excellent. Truly a hidden gem. "

"The description is misleading, there is only one usable bedroom. One of the other beds is located near the entrance nex to the stairs. The other two beds can found in the living room. Thats not what we expected or could see from the pictures. We left immediately and contacted the owner. He did not coperate, for two days and pointed us two the *great* vrbo support. In the end we did come to an agrement but still burned a ludacious amount of money on it. Next time i will book directly throught the tourist information."

"This is a great property that is well worth the price. The family that runs it are wonderful. We had a wonderful room with a balcony. It is very up to date. There is even a reasonable cost to use the laundry. Breakfast was outstanding with numerous selections."

"Overall, Alte Postvilla is a wonderful place to stay. It's directly across from the train and bus stop, as well as the grocery and convenience stores. It's only about a 10-15 walk to restaurants and the local alpine coaster. The rooms were clean, updated, and our views of the mountain were gorgeous. The only hiccup we had was that some of our bookings were disrupted due to water damage in some of the rooms. Our group had 3 separate apartment bookings that we were asked to condense into 2 apartment bookings for our group of 12. We made it work although it wasn't ideal. In the end, it all worked out and I would stay at this location again. "
