About this property

Architect-designed cottage where sea meets forest

  • The cottage in Haverdal offers 54 well-planned square metres where you can live close to nature and to one another. The wild, natural grounds surround the house like a green embrace, offering complete seclusion and privacy in the courtyard and on the patio on the hill. The two bedrooms have sheer curtains instead of doors. The beds suit both adults and children: Bedroom 1 has a 120 cm wide bed (perfect for a couple or an adult with a child), and Bedroom 2 has four comfortable bunk beds. The kitchen's well-equipped (though without a dishwasher), and the bathroom opens directly onto the courtyard—a unique feature that enhances the connection to the outdoors.

Three different outdoor seating areas make it easy to follow the sun while enjoying soothing ocean views. The location's fantastic, just a 5-minute walk to the harbour and the nearest swimming spot. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the large Haverdalsstranden beach (or a few minutes by car). Dogs are warmly welcome! The property isn’t fenced in, but the large natural plot and the lovely walking trails are wonderful to explore. Dogs can also swim at the beach just below the cottage. In the area, you’ll find the sunsets at Skalleberget, the Haverdal Nature Reserve (“the troll forest”), the classic Margit’s Kiosk, and the Kattegattleden trail. Halmstad's just a 20-minute drive away. Upon arrival, we'll have the beds freshly made and towels and bath towels ready for all guests. We'll give you the Wi-Fi password at check-in, and we can arrange an electric car charger for a fee.

A super cozy little cottage with everything you need for a stay. It’s just a few steps to the nature reserve with access to the beach, where you can go for beautiful walks. From the topmost of the three terraces, you have a great view of the ocean and can enjoy the sunset in the evening. It’s in a very quiet location, perfect for relaxing. The host, Karin, is also very nice and helpful. When we arrived, she took extra time to give us the keys, show us around, and offer a few tips on things to do. She was also available at any time to answer questions. We stayed there as a family of five with a dog, and we all had a wonderful time.
