Ideal rental home. Plenty of bed space. 15 minutes from Denali Park entrance. Ideal for day hikers. House was clean. Good linens, well equipped, etc…

Mountain View

We had 6 adults and 4 kids ages 6-11. The space was wonderful and provided opportunities to gather and spread out. We loved the game area in the garage. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and nothing beats the view! There were several moose sightings. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful property exactly as listed, the location and house are fantastic, we all really enjoyed it. If you enjoy the outdoors, you will love this place. Great house!

The house is great size and very well located 20 minutes from Denali Park, 5 minutes from grocery store, gas, ATV riding, Black Diamond Grill and 49th State Brewery & Grill. Good size bedrooms, although one has to use bath in living area (not a big deal). Den is little small for nine, but easy to spread across dining area (seats 8). Well equipped kitchen. Ping pong and darts got lots of use. Lovely view. Highly recommend.

Alaskan family reunion

Disregard the bumpy road to get to this house- it’s perfect for a group of mixed ages: 4, 10,12,16, 16,42, 44,44,45, 69 and 75!! Layout was great- closing off hallway to rooms while early risers could be in kitchen or late night TV watchers.. ping pong table a big hit! Great washer and dryer. The little amenities of chair and luggage rack in rooms was awesome! Table and lamps by beds were wonderful! The hosts really helped us with a need for mechanic when one rental had a tire going flat! The moose and her baby walked through one morning and the privacy of the area made it seem like great wilderness. Highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable, about 20 minutes to Denali Visitor Center

August 2023, 4 day stay with two families, 8 people. The house is as advertised although we did not see the moose. Clean and comfortable house with convenient lay out of bedrooms away from kitchen/living room. One bathroom off living room, second first floor bathroom is in the bedroom that has the bed and the bunk beds. The upstairs with a hallway bathroom has two bedrooms (one has a bunkbed and a bed, the other a bed for two). The attached garage converted into game room with darts, ping pong, couch, washer/dryer is great place for family fun. Plenty of silverware, dishes, pots/pans, glasses. Could use a few more bathroom towels for bigger groups. The road to house is filled with potholes so if you arrive at night drive slowly. Within short walking distance is golf course (not in good shape but was fun), ATV rentals, Lake Otto. From the house it is about 10 minute drive north to Three Bears grocer and gas station and the 49th State Restaurant, about 15 minutes south to souvenir shops and lodges, about 20 minutes south to Denali National Park. If you're not doing sea/land trip with cruise ship and you want to avoid the high price of staying in the cruise ship owned lodges then I highly recommend this rental because you can easily go visit the lodge stores and restaurants as well as the park from this location.

A mostly comfortable stay

House was mostly comfortable and our 5 adults and 2 teenagers enjoyed our time here. There is no a/c so if you happen to visit when temps are high, it does get pretty warm. The upstairs and living room were difficult to keep cool during the day. It wasn't unbearable but not ideal. The bedrooms and baths were otherwise comfortable. 1st Fl Bedroom 1 is a Queen with bunk beds and ensuite bath. 1st Fl Bedroom 2 is a King. Guests in bed 2 need to go through bedroom 1 to the ensuite or they can walk down the hall to the full bathroom in the living room. 2nd floor has Bedroom 3 with a Queen and Bedroom 4 with a Queen and bunk beds. They share the upstairs hallway full bath. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and dining with a good selection of spices and left behind condiments. We made frequent use of the ping pong and darts. There's not a lot of sound insulation in the bedroom and the game room walls. You hear a lot. The road to the home is pretty rough due to potholes and gravel roads. Also there is a auto repair shop that looks a little like a junk yard around the corner. Home driveway is shared with cabin next door. If you are low maintenance you will probably be fine. If you are used to higher end homes, this one may seem like mildly roughing it.

Great place!!!

Very nice place -- clean, roomy and well stocked. Bonus game room was fun and views were amazing. Communication with owners was prompt and cordial. Location was fine ....only nine miles from park entrance and two miles from grocery store and 49th State Brewery. Would definitely stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in good, but outdated condition. The furniture and beds as well as sheets and pillows are well worn and some uncomfortable. There is only one TV in the front room, that only has a limited number of cable stations - no streaming. The advertising picture of a wild animal outside is dated as wildlife are few in the area so it is unlikely to see them. The hot water is limited as well and you must wait about 15 minutes after someone took a shower to have hot water for the next shower - inconvenience was great. The master bedroom had poor lighting placement so the shower remains dark and there are precarious awkward steps to the toilet with no light that is a major safety issue. The expensive rental left much to be desired and now has less expensive and more modern and new -stay else.

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view is not that good. The property is relatively close to the Denali Park entrance but its immediate surroundings aren't good. Bedrooms and bathrooms are ample but the kitchen and living areas are tight. We had 6 adults and a toddler and were happy that the weather was good so we could be outside.

This is a great house for family. 4 of us stay here for few days and we all like it. The actual house internal is much better than the pictures. David provided way more than enough cookware, spicy, salt, oil, even a bag of rice! The room is very clean, the table tennis is a great plus. Overall 5 star house for family.
