“We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views……

“The gentleman running the inn was warm and friendly, helpful too as I had direction troubles for an event and so he googled it and printed it and for the next day I got there. A very homely comfortable feeling I thought. If I'm ever back in the area I will stay there again.”

“My friend and I had a wonderful stay! Great value with the large yummy breakfast cooked for us. Our only regret is that we didn’t have time to enjoy it more and chat more with Stan, but we had a morning flight to catch. They were very accommodating to our departure time. “I had a really nice stay at The WoolPack Inn. I liked the way the room was decorated and it was lovely and clean. Daily housekeeping too which was great. Staff were really friendly and happy to help. Only small downside was that the room was pretty small - no wardrobe (just some hangers on some pegs)/vanity area. However, this didn't affect my stay. The tea tray/mini fridge was well stocked with everything you'd need!
There is very little sound proofing so it can be noisy - however when I stayed……

“Staff are very friendly, food is very good and reasonably priced. The building is lovely and full of character, however the rooms are simply decorated. The location is excellent.
