Chestatee River Cabin

This adorable riverside home on the Chestatee is just minutes from historic downtown Dahlonega, wineries and wedding venues. Only 7 miles from GA 400, the location is central to everything you would want to do and see. Enjoy the scenery and wildlife from the large covered deck, rain or shine. You can hear the peaceful sound of nearby rapids from the deck. Songbirds, as well as duck, blue herons, deer and the elusive river otter make an appearance from time to time. No Smoking Indoors, NO Pets & NO Parties or Events.

This was hands down the best VRBO vacation ever! The home was warm and welcoming and the view was so relaxing! Everything was clean, perfect and updated. The shower is phenomenal! The cabin and deck are absolutely gorgeous. The owners did an outstanding job. A gas fireplace is always a plus for me, too. Great beds and linens and soaps! The location is perfect, just a few minutes away from downtown and hiking. I have been going to the mountains for the last 15 years and this here is my favorite place to stay. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Bruce, who is a wonderful host and very nice person. He and his wife live right next door but don't fret, you have plenty of privacy.

This was our second visit to the river house. It's very comfortable for two couples. We spent most of our time relaxing on the back deck, and the guys did some fly fishing on the river bank. We took day trips into Dahlonega (great lunch at Shenanigans) and Helen, and had a delicious, quiet lunch with no tourists that day at the nearby Unicoi State Park Lodge.
