We booked Lisa’s place for our sons’ high school fishing tournament at lake chatuge. This place was top notch. Easy access right off the main road, beautifully landscaped, and absolutely adorable through and through. It’s an older little house but has been masterfully decorated and updated. It didn’t even feel like someone else’s place…..we instantly felt at home here. There’s a beautiful little brook at the side edge of the property, which is an amazing backdrop for morning coffee on the front porch. Even the utility room was adorable! No detail was left unattended and the stay far exceeded my expectations. I wish we had booked one more night just to hang out at the property. We have been all over the place with the fishing team, and stayed at a lot of places. This one might be my favorite of them all. 10 out of 5 stars. We will be back.

Very Comfortable

A friend and I had a girls stay and this was the perfect, quiet getaway. I thought it was the perfect size for two, maybe even three. The location was a little out-of-the-way but that's what we were looking for. You could hear the brook from anywhere on the property, even in the house with the screen doors and windows open. The only down thing I can say is there was a lot of items sitting out which didn't allow much room for the food that we brought along. If you're going to be cooking while there, make sure to bring all your own spices. I would definitely book again.

Cozy Retreat Cottage

I have stayed her numerous times because of how peaceful the setting of this house is along the stream and how very cozy and comfortable and restful this sweet cottage is. This will always be my north GA retreat home away from home.

Adorable cottage

Cozy Retreat Cottage by the Creek

We've enjoyed Hightower Cottage numerous times because of its peaceful setting. The house is very comfortable and we love the front and back porch to relax and listen to the creek. The house is beautifully decorated and reasonably priced. This will be our regular place to stay in the north GA mountains.

Peaceful Mountain Cottage Retreat

The Best Around

Hightower Haven and Lisa are the Best! It's like a VRBO commercial, when we stay there, it's like our home. We are so comfortable there. Beside a creek, nature, inside decor, outside wonderful flora and fauna! Love the design of the garden outside. Could not ask for a more accommodating venue or hosts! The best!

Mountain cottage

Such a great place! Original wood floors, every convenience, easy instructions for checking out. It was homey, great for a couple who doesn’t need to be in the middle of everything. The price was affordable. We will return if we get a chance.

Romantic Mountain Getaway

This cottage is adorable and so clean. A peaceful, relaxing haven for sure! So comfy inside with a cozy electric fireplace. Very enjoyable just sitting outside on the front or back porch, with the creek running along the back and the firepit. Even had skewers for roasting marshmallows & outdoor games (played cornhole)! Great location too! We will definitely stay there again!

Perfect location and relaxation.

This property is in a perfect location and within minutes of great restaurants and shopping. The house was tastefully decorated and had everything needed for a perfect getaway. Owner was quick to respond.

This is a cute and cozy cottage, tucked away on a quiet country lane. We had such a relaxing time and the property exceeded our needs in every way. We were in the area to complete the Georgia section of the Appalachian trail and our final day of hiking ended just a couple miles up the road. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Bed were super comfy and the laundry room was perfect. So happy to have found such a nice place to stay and would recommend to fellow hikers as well as anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay in Hiawassee.

Great cottage and perfect location

We love this area is Hiawassee so much! The house was very clean, super cute and had all the conveniences of home!! House is 15 min to the town of Hiawassee and 30 min to Helen. Lake Chatuge is our favorite lake, we spent lots of time there. Rent a boat at Boundary’s, awesome people. We saw several deer on property. Owners were quick to respond. Wi-Fi worked great. Cellular in the area is spotty which is expected.

Wonderful Cottage
