Getaway trip

This property is absolutely amazing! Close to town but secluded and so quiet and relaxing. The creek that wraps around the house is so lovely. Our kids LOVED playing in it. The back porch is the best part! So much family fun and relaxing! 10/10

Awesome!!

This little house was an awesome getaway for my wife and I that we desperately needed! Not only did they have everything we needed but also went out of their way to provide us with propane for the fireplace even out of season. They even had a crock pot we used a couple of times! We lived on the screened in porch lounging, reading, talking and playing games for most of the week, just listening to the waterfalls in the creek. It was so incredibly relaxing!! We would recommend this to anyone interested in a relaxing getaway!!

Perfection

Everything is perfect about this property from the farmhouse decor, special touches and location. Did I mention the screened-in porch? Or the waterfall steps from the porch? We’ll be back.

Amazing!!

The house & property are absolutely beautiful! Sitting out on the screen porch listening to the stream/falls beside us was our favorite part! So relaxing! The owner is so nice & easy to get in touch with. The house was ready, so she text us to see if we wanted to check in early. She met us at the house to personally welcome us, give us a tour & answer any questions. We will definitely be going back & hope to stay longer next time!

Magical stay! This cottage is A+++

My daughter and I visited in March and loved it so much that I had to make sure I left a glowing review. The owners are amazing and met us for check in. You can feel the love poured into this home the minute you walk in the door. It was very quiet but I still felt safe. It was a perfect location to visit Helen. There is no scary mountain road or steep uphill driveway like places I have stayed before in north GA. My daughter was enthralled with the creek and played for hours. It was peaceful and relaxing! The cabin is beautifully decorated and set up with details like snacks and stuff for s’mores. Can’t wait for a return visit!

A little piece of heaven

My husband and I needed a getaway and selected this beautiful and tranquil home. The deck with bed swing as well as the creek flowing peacefully along was absolutely what we needed to decompress and rest. The home is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Dana was the perfect host who was helpful and kind.

Perfect Creekside Escape!

The Hootenanny was everything we had hoped for and more! The house is gorgeous and the property is breathtaking. We booked this based on the reviews and they were all very accurate but words can not describe just how perfect it really was.

A little slice of Heaven

Pictures do not do this property justice. It's quaint and very well kept with a peaceful creek next to the screened in porch. We spent most of our time out there. Perfect area to catch the game or read a book. Located about 4 minutes from downtown Helen, the location couldn't be better. The house has everything you need with added bonuses that the owner supplies to make your stay even better. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Helen.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hootenanny at Horton Creek! Dana, the owner, met us at check-in and showed us around the property, filling us with wonderful stories and showing us everything we needed to know about the house and more. It made our time there so much more meaningful. The creek is wonderful and definitely a highlight of the property! The “driving bridge” is so neat and such an amazing thing! The screen porch is amazing and the house had everything we needed. The house is lovely and everything was exactly as pictured with lots of personal touches. It was a peaceful place and we definitely want to return! We would give six stars if we could! Just lovely!

Exquisite!

Our family fell in love with this property! Hootenanny is decorated beautifully with all the amenities you need even the small things like coffee & creamer. The screened in back porch was absolutely amazing! You could hear the creek while you were swinging on the porch swing or while we were playing tic tac toe with the kids. There was marshmallows and cookies to make s’mores by the awesome fire pit and the sticks to roast the s’mores. The creek in the front and back of the property was perfect for the kids to play and jump in during our stay. Last, Dana the owner is so sweet and communicated with me from the before our stay until the last day. We had no issues as check in and check out was a breeze. Thank you so much for sharing your property with our family!

AMAZING PROPERTY

There are not enough stars to rate this property!!!! Quiet, peaceful and just a perfect getaway for our weekend retreat. The cabin was like new, so clean and modern decorations!! We enjoyed the screened in porch listening to the creek every evening! As first timers to the area, we were delighted that we were centrally located to everything we wanted to do (hiking/fishing). Our host was so personable, we enjoyed reviewing her book regarding the history of the property. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer! What a fantastic experience!!! We will definitely plan another visit!

Stunning property

The best, relaxing oasis!!

Most beautiful rental I’ve ever experienced. The owner greeted us with a personal tour of her stunning home. We loved the creek that wrapped around the house and the open field in front to toss the football. Made s’mores in the fire pit relaxed on the screen porch swing. Didn’t want or need to leave the house! Will definitely be back!

Spring Break Family Time

GORGEOUS! Quiet and private. All the bells and whistles including beer mugs in the freezer. Everything you need for a luxurious stay is included. Nap on the fully made swinging daybed on large screen porch. Wonderful space for small families nearby shopping, but minus the noise. We'll be back!

Great for romance or Small family

The pictures on VRBO were cute, but to experience the property in person was mind blowing. You cannot hear the sound of the creek in the pictures. Not to mention the small waterfalls and the overall awesomeness of the property. It was exactly what we were looking for and then some. The shower was also out of this world. Dana, the owner, was fabulous too. I loved the tour of the house, history review of the property and the great amenities she provided. If you are looking for peace and quiet or a place to hang with you kids close to Helen or a romantic getaway, do not look any further. This is the place for you. By the way, the bed and sheets were very comfortable.
