We arrived late one evening in bad weather, and the staff were very helpful with accommodating us. The room was no frills but precisely what we needed, with a nice bathroom and an amazing ocean view we woke up to. Lovely common areas and a great continental breakfast as an add-on.

Wonderful stay and great location on the Peninsula. Easy to get to all the sites to explore. The coastal walk between Hellnar and Amarstapi is so worthwhile to do and the trailhead is in front of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and had other great recommendations. Love their hot chocolate!

This is a gem of a hotel in a very remote area. There is a way to walk down to the rock beach (and nature trail that leads to Arnarstapi Cliffs). So beautiful! We ate a delicious dinner at the hotel and the included breakfast was great.

We were not offered upgrade to ocean view even though we said it was part of our Expedia package when asked we’re told that they were booked but we could pay extra for a room with ocean view which we did for one night since my husband knew how much I would enjoy the view even when rainy and cloudy. The breakfast was great and kudos to the staff for helping us with getting the dirt and grime off the car from the gravel roads.

Loved the location for the quietness, views of both the sea and the mountain behind us. We also ate dinner at the hotel, and it was very good. Some noise from room next door, but the room was clean and comfortable.

This was our 2nd Fosshotel during the Ring Road, and we enjoyed this one way more. It's cozy inviting vs the last one that felt like it was trying to be a fancy hotel. The food was delicious, the workers were nice and we stayed in room 9B which apparently is the nicest room there. Definitely a beautiful room plus porch area

Beautiful view and great location to see northern lights. The suite offers a nice balcony to relax and enjoy the sunshine and ocean view. Queen bed was very comfortable with good pillows. Does have a tub/shower combination. Restaurant offers limited options but food was great with friendly service. Breakfast buffet provided many options.

We had such a wonderful stay! The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, the rain shower amazing, the food (both dinner and breaks fast) was excellent, and maybe best of all, the black out shade was so top notch that we woke up and didn’t know what day it was. I have only wonderful things to say and would absolutely come stay again!
