“My time at Roebank on the River Cottage was a peaceful getaway. Julie was so kind to offer to let me come back after my trip got cut short due to work. The rugged beauty of the landscape with the river so close created a tranquil atmosphere. Chilling on the upstairs balcony felt like staring at a beautiful painting because of the view. “Loved our stay at The Black Cockatoo. We felt quite secluded, despite being a 5 minute walk from the small town ( pub, cafe, shops) Our room was really spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette, very comfy bed and everything was lovely and clean. “We really enjoyed our stay over the long weekend. The property was well equipped, the beds were so comfortable and the fire was perfect for the stormy weather. We arrived to some delicious local treats and the fire already on which was very thoughtful.”

“Nice quiet get away! Location was easy to find and kept clean. Unfortunately no hand soap which was an inconvenience till we brought our own. Bathroom could have been cleaned a little better. Over all nice relaxing place with friendly horses. Will return in the near future.”
