"The property was beautiful and the hosts were very helpful! It was the perfect spot for a getaway with friends! The location was perfect as it was a short drive from town and right on a gorgeous lake, where we had access to canoes and kayaks. We went on a few gorgeous hikes around the area (Whiteside Mountain, High Falls, and Rainbow Fallls at Gorges National Park). I highly recommend staying here, and I can’t wait to book my next trip!"

"The Treehouse Suite at The Calhoun House is a great property. This particular suite is located in a separate building from the other suites, which was ideal for us, as we had our baby and toddler with us. We did not worry about disturbing other guests if he cried or was a little loud. Edward was amazing as we checked in. "The location is close to Main Street with lots of shops and restaurants. The staff was outstanding. Very friendly and accomidating. The grounds were well maintained and landscaped beautifully. Our only issue was there seemed to be a lot of mold on the shower walls. The bathroom always smelled moldy. We were in room 212."

"Pretty rustic lodgings. If you have a problem with musty old rooms, do not stay here. I had a headache within an hour and tried to change rooms, but all the rooms were the same damp smell. They even have dehumidifier machines in each room to try and mitigate the problem. I didn’t think this was worth the $$! The restaurant, however, was absolutely great. So much better than the inn in town. Literally everything on the menu was top notch."

"The hotel was 5 star all the way. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. The manager was visible and offered dining, excursion and shopping suggestions. All excellent recommendations. Our suite was large yet had a cozy feel. Everything was immaculate. The breakfast was excellent from fresh berry compote to specialty pastries to imported coffee. A beverage bar was available 24/7. Breakfast out in the courtyard was quiet and lovely. The location was perfect for walking around town. We has a wonderful stay and will return again."

"We enjoyed the cottage very much! Everything we needed in the kitchen was available. We enjoyed the firepit and the fireplace! The location was wonderful for the area! The only recommendation would be to replace the couch and chairs inside as they are very uncomfortable. We brought in 2 chairs from the table on the screened in porch to use during our stay so it worked out OK! Would highly recommend and we would definitely return!"

"Ferncliff Cottage is a perfect spot to stay in Highlands. Very charming in every way. Two complete primary suites with king beds made the stay very comfortable. Lesa and Cory were excellent hosts. I’d definitely book again in the future."
