Spacious & quiet

Our family enjoyed spending time together at this clean, roomy, & quiet getaway! The kitchen had all we needed to make many good meals. We especially enjoyed coffee and juices on the front deck & back screened-in porch in the AM and the fully fenced backyard was perfect for our pooches! Thank you!!

Quiet, comfortable and well equipped sanctuary nestled in a treed lot with a lovely great room and both front and back porches to enjoy. A great place to come back to after a day hiking. Very close to all that Highlands has to offer.

Carolina Cottage

Our stay in the Carolina Cottage was delightful. The home was well appointed, comfortable, and situated in a sweet, quiet, neighborhood with good privacy. Located just a short drive into town, we found everything that we needed and enjoyed the gas fireplace in the evenings. It is also close to several good hiking trails. We would love to return to this lovely home again. Thank you for an enjoyable visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carolina Cottage! It felt like home away from home. Very spacious and inviting. The kitchen had everything we could need. Decor is beautiful and beds were comfortable. Fenced in backyard was a huge plus for our dog. Location was perfect. Short drive to downtown Highlands and easy proximity to lots of outdoor activities. We hiked Whiteside Mountian as well as Gorges State Park during our stay. All you could want or ask for in a vacation rental.

Pretty place, quiet and relaxing. Two negative comments: I am very sensitive to odors so had to wash the sheets and towels with a fragrance-free detergent that I had to purchase. The only detergent in the laundry area was Gain, which I am highly allergic to! That was a problem for me. Also, if you are going to leave a couple rolls of toilet paper and some paper towels please have some better quality. I have had better paper products in rural China! Very nice home, and we enjoyed it. Nicely decorated.

Great home convenient to popular hikes and downtown Highlands. The furniture was comfortable and house was clean. The photos accurately depict the property. We only stayed here two nights, but would book this property again.

Perfect Get Away!!

This home is in excellent condition and in a very nice neighborhood. It has high quality furnishings and every thing that we needed. It is very close to Highlands and a short beautiful drive to Cashiers. Highly recommend!!

Located in a seniors/retirement community

This cottage is very cute & nicely furnished. However, it is located in a retirement community, which is not mentioned anywhere in the listing. As a family with kids and a dog, this was not the best environment for us and knowing this ahead of time would have affected our rental choice.

Amazing Home, quiet area, 10 min from Highland shops

Amazing home, clean. Plenty of room to lounge inside and out. To get to shops and restaurants it’s a quick 10 min drive. Home is one of the most comfortable properties my family has ever stayed in. My daughter loves her room with her own desk and recliner.
