Lisa is a great host and her place feels just like a family or friend’s home. It’s centrally located to Cashiers, activities, and hiking. It was very easy to get the activity card for the amenities and Lisa has great guides for everything you could be looking to do. She is easy to reach and very responsive if you have any questions. Overall, I would stay here again!

Escaping the Summer Heat Dome!

What a great location in Sapphire Valley to listen to nothing but birds, summer bugs and sometimes a faraway banjo. So close to everything but removed enough to relax. The Host makes this place though- Lisa was sending a deluge of what, where and why you should check out restaurants, shops, water falls, lakes, hikes, water sports- the ultimate outdoors concierge! For all the times I've visited Highlands, NC, I never knew S-Valley existed until we were searching on VRBO for an escape from the heat.

What a wonderful restful mountain hideaway. Perfect size for our family of three. Well stocked kitchen, cozy throws, and the most comfortable master bedroom bed! FYI - if you are planning to work or enjoy your favorite video content the wifi/internet is very weak and we had difficulty with it throughout our stay. Also there is no cable tv. Owner did a great job coming over and signing us into Peacock App so we could watch the Olympics.

Lovely little gem in Sapphire!

Perfect getaway nestled in the mountains. This is a lovely condo in a lovely neighborhood with other condos. It was very quiet during our mid-September stay. Beautifully decorated and cozy. Lisa was very quick to respond via text and email. She provided detailed info about things to do and places to eat. It’s a few miles away from Cashiers where the grocery store and restaurants are located. There are several lakes in the area. We spent the day on. Lake Jocassee that’s a bit further away in SC. We walked a couple miles each morning throughout the neighborhood. This was in the perfect location, and we plan to go back. Also, the kitchen is well equipped if you like to cook. We cooked several nights while there. Highly recommended you stay here if you come to Sapphire!!

Perfect Mountain Rental Home and Host

Beautiful property, nicely appointed and conveniently located! My husband and I have stayed in Sapphire many times over the years, but this was the first time staying with Lisa. Before we even arrived Lisa made sure we had everything we needed for check in, plus a list of things to see and do in the area. Her property is very clean and all of the furniture is very comfortable. The gas fireplace is so easy to use and is wonderful on cool evenings. She has a great tv with streaming. The kitchen is well appointed and it was easy to prepare meals. The plush bath robes are wonderful! The property is in a great location. It’s just a few minutes from Micas Restaurant and the amenity center and it’s 10 minutes from the grocery store in Cashiers. It’s convenient to Cashiers, Lake Glennville, Highlands, Brevard, Asheville and Hendersonville as well as many waterfalls and the Blue Ridge Partway. The surrounding neighborhood is easily walkable and there is a lake and a river with a waterfall. All in all, it’s a great place to stay and Lisa is a wonderful host. We plan on returning many times in the coming years.

Perfect Mountain Retreat at Sapphire Place!Highly Recommended! Sapphire Place is the perfect, super quiet mountain retreat. This adorable cottage is incredibly cozy with updated finishes and thoughtful touches like the fireplace, Afghans, and robes for ultimate relaxation. It was a wonderful place to walk our dog, and the access to numerous community amenities was a great bonus.The location is an ideal home base for exploring Lake Toxaway, Brevard, Whiteside Mt., Cashiers, Highlands, and all the incredible hiking and waterfalls the region offers. Fabulous mountain home!

This was a nice little place for our family to get away to the mountains for a few days. The home is beautifully decorated and felt very cozy. Lisa was great at communicating all info needed ahead of time and if I had a question she responded very quickly. Would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.

Fantastic getaway!

My 2 daughters and I came up for their February break and had a fantastic time! We snow tubed, hiked to a waterfall, rode horses on a gorgeous trail, gem mined, and swam a ton at the indoor pool. Lisa was fantastic and shared great information about the area. The home was perfect for us, and we hope to come again.
