The building is really aged and many tiny bugs' corpses in room. 24h hot water and no AC. Breakfast included, like coffee and donuts. It would be a reasonable choice for someone who spend the whole day outside of hotel and would just take a sleep there, plus save some money. Staff there is pretty nice.

Definitely worth staying if you like nature

This is the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. The friendly staff at the counter made us feel at home. This is a very natural hotel. We just don't need a TV. Although there is no air-conditioning, it is very comfortable and there is always a natural wind blowing in. really great The reception staff are beautiful and kind. Thanks to the reception staff for allowing us to live in a room facing the sea. It was a great experience. I will still want to live here next time I come to HILO. I also want to live in Room 21 facing the sea~ Thank you~ HSU SHUO-HUNG

We had a late check in, the room was ok, the beds clean and comfortable. The shower had no hot water so freezing shower, and there was no breakfast. We left after 8 am and never saw anyone, not one employee, only one other guest also complained about the cold shower and was waiting for breakfast when we left.

I would recommend you look elsewhere. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews prior to booking this place. Read the reviews and find a accommodation that is far superior to this. For my military people Kileaua Military Camp is about the same cost and must more peaceful. I would recommend the the military camp and the cost is very similar! God speed in finding safe and reliable travel for this place needs to be condemned. The staff have no integrity. The photos are inaccurate.

windows does not close so insects comes and go, you can hear the planes, the cars. insects and frogs are okay but u can here people walking upstairs and people talking. Wall is paper thin. Shower water, no hot water and barely flows so u have to shower longer in cold water. just a beat up place . had to leave early because it looked unsafe. We tried calling the nymber but no answr. u can leave a msg but no one will call back. This place is straight up from a crime scene movie . I dont even understand why EXPEDIA has this on their list of places to stay. i was not expecting much but this is unimaginable.
