Timeless and modern. Extremely spacious rooms and bonus to have a large bathtub and seperate shower and a newly renovated bathroom. King bed (very comfortable), large balcony and TV. Only 10 mins drive to Salamanca place and everywhere else. Free on site parking is always a plus. Everything about this stay was great. Friendly staff and quiet surroundings. Would definately stay here again!

The property was fantastic however there’s plenty of room for improvement! some more art on the walls in the rooms would be a good improvement. some ability to play some music would be a bonus also. just needs a bit more colour & personally added to the rooms & it will be another level👍

Maylands was a stunning last minute find for us, filled with history. The building itself is just spectacular, perched on top of the hill, with views all around. Inside, the hallways and staircase keep their original form - well kept and decorated. The rooms are truely modern, with all the comforts of home. Gas log fire, air conditioner, huge smart TV, bluetooth speaker, and a bathroom worthy of writing home about with the giant tub and frosted glass walls. Around the building you'll find a few quiet corners with couches or chairs, just adding to the ambience of this cosy space. The perfect stay in Hobart

The property is pretty outside and has a 5 star bathroom but lacks room facilities for the price we paid. We paid $390 for a king room which doesn’t have a spa and a queen room which doesn’t have a small eating table. For this rate we’d also expect a coffee machine. The location is in the outskirts of Hobart and inside a residential area without eating or shopping place. Overpriced

A gorgeous elegant property which is being lovingly restored. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Would be enhanced further if the dining room/restaurant was reopened. There was no toaster or microwave in our room which meant cafes for breakfast, not an inconvenience but would have been easier to get our own. We would definitely recommend Maylands Lodge and would love to stay there again.

Our two-night stay at Maylands Lodge was incredible. Arriving and stepping into the house for the first time is an experience in and of itself. In once sense, it was like being transported back in time. The rooms themselves, though, were modern, spacious and comfortable. During our stay, we were torn between wanting to explore the city and relaxing at the lodge. In the end, we did both. If we go back to Hobart again, this is where we’ll be staying. Thanks ML team!

Suite was in a new section, well appointed, lovely decor, easy access & parking. Lounge was great to relax in and to take in the heritage of the property. Little extras in the property made our stay perfect.

Communication prior to and at check-in was welcoming and informative. A very comfortable stay with the freedom to access most areas of the premises making it feel like home. Attention to detail and a sense of luxury made this accommodation special. The outlook toward the mountains and the river was calming. Conveniently close to dining, retail, city , water and parks.

A gorgeous old building, beautifully renovated within. Lovely fireplace, friendly staff, comfy bed and a spacious tub in the bathroom. Seems like some issues with staffing due to covid, resulted in some small problems - used towels and dishes were taken on the first day but not replaced which made dinner tricky, and room was not serviced at all on the second day. Couldnt follow up because location is not staffed after 4pm.

Overpriced but nice
On arrival, we were quickly underwhelmed by the room for the price we paid and the bathroom (toilet bowl in particular) was still dirty. This was quickly rectified by a clean and a free bottle of wine, which was a nice gesture but had already left a taint on the experience.

We only stayed for a night, but given we arrived late the staff were fantastic about our check in experience and our ability to hang around past our check out time the next morning. Breakfast was great, staff were amazing and the room itself outstanding.

Best boutique hotel we ever stayed, maybe it will continue to the best boutique luxury hotel in our life time. Beautiful Victorian architecture building has been restored and refurbished with modern amenities and comfort. The service is top notch with care and thought. It is like staying at your friend's old glamorous charming house. It does not feel like any hotel. I felt so relaxed that I fell asleep in the beautiful lounge area of the hotel. It was a true luxury experience. Having a really stylish room with a huge space enhances the sense of exclusive luxury

From the moment we arrived staff could not have been more helpful. The woman who greeted me when I arrived early was very helpful and friendly. The room itself was beautiful, with the option to use a heater/fire place as well as a heat pump. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was stunning. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and the service was again impeccable. We will definitely be coming back, perhaps even next week! :)
