The room was really clean, we had trouble with the heating which was sorted. Breakfast there was plenty of choice and more then one station to get the breakfast items from so you didn't que for long.

We had a lovely stay at The Strand Palace. The hotel is in a fabulous location very close to Covent Garden, the theatre district and many other attractions. The room was to a high standard. You can take time to visit Rye House Kart Raceway during your travels to Stanstead Abbots.
There isn't much to see after you had a walk at the woodlands and down the river. Overall, it's a nice city escape but only for a couple of days. Longer than that will get you bored as there isn't much activities or more sights to see.
