"Checked in late , 2100 hours. Once in the room, one bed looked as though it had been slept in. It was unmade with all pillows stacked on it. Trash can was full. Towels hung over shower door. Called the answering service since the office was closed. The manager’s wife talked to me. The manager came by to “verify” that the room has not been serviced. The two of them offered an upgrade to a room with 2 kings and a view of the lake. This room was clean. I also got a later check out time by 2 hours. It was a hassle though."

"This house literally has everything you could possibly want or need. The views are spectacular from the house and the town of Lakeport is very unpretentious and charming. Every restaurant we dined in was very good. You can roll out of bed and walk to get a latte up the road and they could even make a flat white at Suzie Q's doughnuts. Of particular note is Lakshmi. Where we are from in New Jersey, there is Indian food galor in every strip mall everywhere, yet we found this cozy, empty place to have fabulous food. Even better than what we find at home. There were not only human towels in the house but towels for dogs, fully labeled, dog food/water bowls, and poop bags. Our daughter had her dog and he had the best time (he is usually home in an empty house). We made many great memories here! Only two things I'll mention that are relatively minor. It was very hot when we arrived (folks are asked to leave the temp on 85 when they leave). Upon our arrival it was 101 outside so arriving into an 85 degree home wasn't optimal. Maybe the cleaning crew could turn down the temp prior to guest arrival? Also, the heat brought algae to the entry point of the lake, so also not possible to swim off the dock or really close by. Not anything that can be controlled, but worth mentioning if you were planning a swim. All in all a great experience."

"The spot is so wonderful with view and easy access to the lake. It’s very quiet. The house is on the older side, but is clean, well appointed, and contains everything you need for a small family. Being on the lake side, there was a distinct smell outside that can be unpleasant for those that are sensitive to smells. Our family enjoyed our stay."
