We spent a long weekend in this cabin and had a lovely time. There we’re 4 adults and 3 children and we felt there was plenty of room. The personal touches made it extra special, such as rubber duckies (bought at Root Beer Barrel) hidden around the house for the kids to find and s’more supplies set out. The house has a full drawer of zip locks, tons of spices and cooking spray, beach towels, chairs and noodles. The cabin is a short walk from the small, private beach and we had it all to ourselves. It’s a short 4 min drive into the hubbub of Saugatuck and parking wasn’t an issue.
The only negatives are that the cabin is creaky so if you’re a light sleeper, bring a sound machine. And the sand dune track runs behind the cabin. While you can’t see them due to trees, there are motors roaring by every 15 min or so which took away from the serenity a bit in the evenings. They could only be heard on the screened porch or outdoors, not in the house, but something to be aware of.
Erin was an excellent host. She was quick to respond and very hospitable. We had a great time - thank you for sharing your home with us!
