Wonderful house and location.

This house was perfect for our needs. We were a family group of 5 adults, 1 child, and 1 dog. The house is clean, welcoming, nicely decorated, and well stocked. The location is close to so many fun things to do. We went into the charming town, walked along the beautiful harbor, visited beaches, galleries, restaurants, etc. We had the best time!!!

Nice Stay!

Great Weekend Getaway

Great Stay! Loved the layout of the home and fenced yard.

We stayed for 3 nights with our 20 yr son & bernedoodle. 15 Minute fast walk to Saugatuck restaurants or Douglas. Hot tube was nice for relaxing in the evening.

Quiet location. Good location to Naugatuck and Oval Beach. Modern house with nice kitchen and baths. Bedrooms located to give privacy to everyone. The hot tub is a nice feature. I definately recommend this house!

Winter Getaway dream

Perfect Saugatuck getaway

We spent a week here and this house met all of our needs as a family. its in a convenient location and close driving distance to Saugatuck/Douglas. My kids loved the hot tub and we enjoyed cooking and having meals outside on the deck and making s’mores in the fire pit. The layout of house and number of bedrooms was fitting for our group of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids aged 3 and 6). The fenced in yard was grear for our small dog too! It was the perfect summer getaway house!

September weekend

The property was clean and tidy. Backyard was fully fenced and our dogs loved the space. The hot tub amd fire pit were very nice too. Beautifully landscaped yards and quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect retreat

This is our second stay at The 511. We love the layout of the place and it is perfect for our family trips. The decor is simple and clean and is a very relaxing space for us. We hope to try it again in the summertime.

Great location, nice clean place

We had a great time at this property. It was very close to both Saugatuck and Douglas and very quiet neighborhood. The property was clean and adorable. There were some missing essentials in the kitchen though including oven mitts and sheet pans.

Short trip

We enjoyed our time in Sagatuck. It was a cute town with lots to do nearby for a short trip. Loved the place and cute backyard. Beds were a little hard and no tvs in any of bedrooms. Overall was a nice trip. Would come back.

Amazing Stay!

7 of us stayed here for a bachelorette weekend getaway and it was perfect! The home was clean, hot tub was an added plus and we were walking distance to so many places! The beach was a quick drive away and plenty of space for 7 of us! The pull out couch was not the comfiest, but all the actual beds were. I would definitely come back if I find myself in Saugatuck again!

Great Spot in Saugatuck!

We loved our stay here! Check in process was easy and the space fit 7 easily. We did encounter a broken coffee pot on arrival, but they delivered a brand new one within hours. GREAT location close to Saugatuck and in a quiet neighborhood. I think a few other reviews noted this, but the water did taste funny from the faucet, so we ended up buying some outside of the house. Absolutely loved the mornings on the back porch!

Excellent Stay & Close to everything!

We had an excellent stay at The 511! From the moment I booked communication was efficient and the check in process was the easiest. The house itself was VERY clean and welcoming and the beds were comfortable with an abundance of blankets and pillows. The 511 was a very short 2-5minute drive from everything and you could technically walk to the downtown area but there is a lack of sidewalks on Blue Arrow Hwy which make it a little dangerous but that’s how close it is to everything! The neighborhood was small and quiet. Overall we had a GREAT stay and would highly recommend The 511 to others staying in Saugatuck!

Amazing Place!

Fantastic location, minutes from Douglas and Saugatuck. It was super close to Douglas beach too! I had to change my dates and it was tough to get a hold of someone to change the dates. I had to get someone from VRBO to reach out to the property management. The only other thing was that they ask you to do a lot of house cleaning when the cleaning fee is pretty high. But I still think the house and the process getting checked in is great. So still a five star for us! Thank you!

Very clean and updated

Great place - cleanest ever. Great experience overall. Nicely decorated, every possible convenience. Very responsive and nice customer sevice.Two limitations -- not a great location for Saugatuck, advertised as sleeping 8 - 3 bedrooms and a fold out sleeper couch. It is not usuable -- the mattress was a box spring and just not made for sleeping on. Owner needs to replace this.

Cute house

Well maintained property. Adorable house. Neighborhood is not a walkable neighborhood, there are a few blocks without sidewalks that are residential, otherwise you’re right on Douglas highway, but very close to downtown Saugatuck. You could walk downtown, but definitely not safely with small kids or pets. Surprisingly quiet street with A2 being right there. The house is adorable. Small fenced in back yard. Very clean. The secondary bedrooms had comfortable mattresses. My biggest complaint would be the master’s mattress. Our family really enjoyed our stay. We went to oval beach and downtown in our short stay. The house was great for a fall getaway! Highly recommend!

Quiet location close to everything

Quiet location close to everything. A very nice mid~ century decor open floor plan. We had a long weekend with our adult children and enjoyed the house. The kitchen was well equipped, and plenty clean towels for all the guest. The beds were just perfect! The gas grill was very nice to have, however a grill brush would have been nice as the grill was pretty dirty. Our only other complaints would be that we had to rewash a lot of the dishes and silverware due to dried food being stuck on them and when wiping up spilled water from the floor the cloth was very dirty as if things are not being mopped properly. We have addressed the issue with the manager. We did very much enjoy the house and our stay dispute a few little cleaning issues.

We had to "share" the rental with Landscapers

My family had 1 full day at this place. And for over 6 hours there were landscapers there making a ton of noise and invading our space that we wanted to be relaxing in the backyard. They let my dog out by having the fence open hauling mulch back and forth from the driveway. They also blocked our cars in the driveway and we had to keep talking to them to coordinate musical cars. Owner isn't taking ANY responsibly and is basically saying tough luck, that they had no way of knowing when people THEY hired to come do work on their property were actually going to be there. Seriously? They never even notified us that there would be people doing work during our stay. Extremely frustrated to say the least. Never had a VRBO experience like this before. My dog could've been hit by a car. We paid $1200 to babysit landscapers during our planned vacation. Book with caution, they may be getting a new roof without their knowledge during your next stay...

Wonderful house, Rude Property Manager

Five Eleven house is seriously beautiful! The pictures simply do not do it justice. We loved the open concept, great for cooking and watching the kids in the living room. The fenced in backyard was also a nice touch. We were able to bring our 11 year old spaniel along which was nice. The house was super clean and the owners left behind some information on the area which we found super helpful! I do have some sensitive dander allergies and found I did need to wash the sheets in my particular room to be comfortable at night as my allergies were acting up. The refrigerator also broke during our stay at the property. While I understand these appliances do not last forever, it was inconvenient. The property manager did respond to our query and allowed us to have a cooler in the home despite clear written rules prohibiting coolers inside. He also got us a mini fridge and gifted us with a gift certificate to a local restaurant which was also nice. Apparently that was the end of his kindness though. Once we notified him that a particular toilet had also been malfunctioning during our trip he just about lost it. Despite dirty water being spewed from the toilet, he refused to send a plumber, stating we were checking out the next day he would just send someone over then. He asked that we clean the mess ourselves and was quite rude during the process. He yelled at me repeatedly on the phone call which I found to be unprofessional and inappropriate. At one point in his tirade he yelled ‘what do you want me to do?’ I answered ‘be nicer.’ This seemed to stop him in his tracks but he still refused to remedy the situation that evening. He stated he was aware the toilet had been broken before our stay and would need to be replaced. We have not yet received our security deposit back which is really surprising since the appliances malfunctioning was admittedly not our fault and we did what we could to remedy the situation ourselves. To be yelled at while on a family vacation was also quite jarring. While I would recommend the Five Eleven home to future patrons, I would encourage all patrons to wait until the family that owns the home switches property managers. In this area, there are a million property managers, but Ethan Barde of Quaint Cottages was unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful. I strongly encourage the owners of the home to look into new property management.

Perfect for groups

This was perfect for 6 adults and 2 little dogs- 3 couples, each with quite private rooms. Kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms very clean. Hot tub was nice, but dirty upon our arrival. Easy check in and out, and the secluded backyard was perfect for the dogs.

Great stay!

Loved our stay here, plenty of space for everyone, great hot tubbing and close to town. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is it was difficult to find on the street, it gets dark so early and there was no visible house number, no lights were on, and we couldn’t even see the house bc of the bushes in the front. It’s a bit nerve wrecking approaching a house and you’re not sure If you’re in the right place, but once we figured it out it was great lol.

Great location, great backyard, nice stay

Had a great time spending a weekend here with friends. The hot tub/backyard is a great hangout area and the three bathrooms are great if you've got several couples staying over. Couple little things could be a little better - no shelf in master shower, strange steps/layout of master bath - but they're tiny things and the house itself is a great space and a really great location close to Douglas and Saugatuck. Organized hosts and easy check-in and check-out process.
