“I was looking for a place for me and my 70 dog, Monkee, that was centrally located for some sightseeing in Monterey and Salinas, and I found it! Nestled between pine trees, Longhorn Steer (yes, you read that right), and lush greenery is a beautiful oasis. The place was clean, well-stocked and the large bed was comfy. Irene and Gary are wonderful hosts! I plan on sharing this secret hideaway with some friends of mine that are planning trips up the California coast. I will definitely stay here……

“Clean, comfortabel bed and pillows, lots of hot water, plenty of parking 15 minutes from the Aquarium in Monterey. We would come back.”

“Plenty of room and supplies for two or more people. The best perk was the filtered water that was provided! We were able to refill water containers with cooled water. Would stay here again if ever in the area in the future.”

“We felt like we were staying with family. Jaya and her husband were very accommodating into their very nice Loft apartment. The grounds and their house were very nice. There were oranges on the trees and grape vineyards in all directions. They discussed some upgrades that they have planned in the future. But it worked fine for the 2 of us as it is now. The Hot Tub was nice after the day of hiking at Pinnacles National Park. We would love to go back there someday and stay. The area around……

“Our hosts were very accommodating from the start with our request for slightly early check in. Sorry for the trouble 🙂. We found the place had many unexpected conveniences like updated appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, compactor, etc) and more than enough supplied linens, towels etc. than we ever needed for for our 1 week stay. Super clean and the bed was comfortable too. They’re many special touches by like live plants and decorations made it feel like home to us. So, just what we needed……

“For us rural, remote country is great. The room/old building we stayed in (Old Post Office) was also great. It was well decorated and comfortable. However, the bathroom is not connected to the building. This, in and of itself, might be ok. However, other people (ranch hands/mechanic?) were also using the bathroom. This freaked my wife out, especially after showering. This may just be a logistical issue for the property owners and easily remedied. However, we did not stay for the second night.”

“Really loved the property and it was super clean and well appointed and lovely access to the beach. The host was very communicative and responsive as well. Found it to be a bit remote from services that we wanted to access (golf, fishing, etc), but no fault of the host in that, I think more that I failed to research the distance to Monterey and Pacific Grove.”

“We were really happy with our stay! The unit has incredible views! The kitchen was well stocked which made cooking easy. The beds were very comfortable. Overall, great unit and we’ll book again for future trips.”
