Of all of the rental houses my family has stayed in, this one was by far the most poorly-maintained. It is unclear how much of this is the responsibility of the owner and how much is the responsibility of Lewis Realty, but we will certainly avoid future properties from this company. Problems included, but were not limited to:
*Property was listed as having three queen beds, but one was a double.
*Living room hanging blinds were missing parts, all of which were stashed behind the television. Could not open one set of blinds.
*The lights in the carport were all non-functional, making loading and unloading at arrival and departure a big challenge (both were done in the dark).
*Many other indoor lights were totally non-functional, either due to wiring or due to lack of lightbulbs.
*The range and oven are so old that the knob labels were completely worn down and we had to guess at which burner we were turning on and whether we were turning it on High or Low.
*Refrigerator shelf was broken, rendering parts of it (including a drawer) unusable.
*Sliding door was difficult to open and even more difficult to close, and had no screen component, so we could not leave it open due to bugs.
*Fireplace curtain was rusted and broken, posing a hazard to our small children.
*Freezer could not keep our food frozen, it was all partially thawed.
*Many pans are in poor condition, flaking Teflon (this is very bad!).
*Cigarette butts were left on the deck.
*There were no measuring cups or spoons, which made cooking a guessing game.
*There were broken glasses in the cabinet.
*The bath mat upstairs reeked of cat pee whenever it got wet.
*The kitchen had at least one roach that we saw.
We will not be back.
