Excellent Vacation

This is the second time staying in this house. The location is perfect. Within walking distance to a lot. House is well equipped. The best part is the view. You can sit outside on the upper deck and enjoy the view but if it is too hot or rainy, you can sit in the living area and enjoy it there as well.

Beach getaway

The location was excellent. Very close to restaurants and beach was right at your door. House was great. It did not have an ice maker so we did purchase our own ice and it did say it didn’t include a grill- but it would have been nice to have one. Also, it’s a duplex so the painters were next door and blocked us on driveway a couple of times. But the management and owner were extremely helpful and responsive. We plan to go back to this house.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning oceanfront beach house, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views of the ocean right from the living room. The location is simply unbeatable – just steps away from the sandy beach, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. And walking distance to great restaurants and shops. The house itself is beautifully designed with a perfect blend of modern amenities and coastal charm. The spacious and open floor plan allowed our group to gather comfortably while still enjoying private moments in the well-appointed bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, and the large dining table provided a great space for us to enjoy them together. One of the highlights of our stay was the deck. We spent countless hours lounging on the comfortable outdoor furniture, soaking up the sun, and listening to the soothing sounds of the waves. The beach access made it incredibly convenient to take morning walks and set up our daily camp. The property management team was exceptionally responsive and accommodating, ensuring our stay was flawless from start to finish. Sure Thing … in Surf City!

Great house and location. Only seconds from the balcony to the sand. Close to everything, we walked for dinner, coffee & sight seeing! Really nice - would absolutely recommend!

Great Beachfront Property in Surf City, NC

The house fit our needs perfectly and was awesome that it allowed for pets so we could bring our small dog. It was very nicely decorated and updated (like new) and steps away from the beach, restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again due to its proximity to both Camp Gieger and Camp LeJeune. The property management company also responded very quickly to requests.

Great house on the beach

This was our second year in a row staying at this home. It’s is a great home overall. Positives: right on the beach and very close to the town. Well stocked kitchen. It also seems recently updated. Negatives: The 4th bedroom is tiny. The pillows are not very good. The cleaning service before check in doesn’t seem to be much. Both years I have had to vacuum the day bed in the 4th bedroom due to food and pet hair left behind. I also had to wash 2 of the 4 comforters because the had so much hair and sand and on them when we got there.

Spectacular view and beach access

We stayed for two weeks in mid/late October. The beach and weather were near perfect. We found it to be the nicest pet friendly home we have stayed in. There were few inconveniences and the management company was really responsive. There isn’t much storage for clothing and electronics so you have to be creative. Internet was slow and dropped off during a zoom meeting. Patio furniture needs an upgrade. Tall chairs would be appreciated.

Fantastic Location

Great location, nicely furnished inside, newly renovated, beautiful, comfortable house. Kitchen is well stocked and the upper deck has fantastic views. Overall would highly recommend this property. Areas of improvement would be timeliness of maintenance requests (took multiple conversations and almost the entire week to get a drain unclogged). Would suggest upgrade/comfortable furniture on the decks. At this price point, cheap plastic chairs and a table with a broken leg do not make the decks comfortable. A request to the cleaning staff would be to blow off/hose all the sand on the decks/driveway/windows/doors. I cleaned all the doors and thoroughly hosed entrance way and decks upon arrival and then did daily cleanings to minimize the sand being brought into the house. It appeared no one had cleaned the windows, doors or swept for a very long time. This would help preserve your beautiful home. :)

Truly enjoyed Hypnautical

Overall, we were very happy with Hypnautical. The home was newly renovated and the location was perfect for our vacation. Our only observation was that the kitchen was poorly stocked - i.e., no pot holders, old, worn pots and pans, very small coffee mugs, no larger pots for cooking seafood/shrimp, crab (which we thought would be a "given" because of the location). The linens were poor quality, but understand all rentals on the island come from a local linen company - not the homeowner's property - so perhaps that was the reason they were lower quality. Also we were there 2 consecutive weeks but not given the opportunity for a home cleaning during the middle of our stay. If we had rented for one week, the home would have been cleaned for the next renter. These constructive comments and issues were minor and, based on other homes we've seen for rent in that area, this one far surpasses those.
