Loved the beaches and how relatively empty they were for a holiday weekend. House was perfect for our all adult fam of 7 (3 kids, 2 married). The pool was great and the outdoor spaces were some of our favorites. Would love to visit again!

What a wonderful beach trip.

We had the absolutely best time at our beach house. The house was spotless and the pool was such a fun time. It literally is right across the street from the beach. Trudy and Mark have dine a superb job. I cannot say enough great things. We will be back.

Great spot for family gathering!

The house was in a great location - across the street from beach access, with a heated pool for when you’re not in the mood for salt and sand. There are lots of great food options nearby for cooking or eating out. We had a great time!

Another Great Trip

Great getaway!

Our family (kids ages 6 & 2) had a great getaway! The house is perfectly located steps from the beach access on a quiet part of the island. The house was super clean and had everything needed to have a great trip! We look forward to staying again in the summertime. We can not recommend this house enough!

Beautiful, we’ll maintained house - every inch of the house (indoors and out) is maximized for utility and comfort. Absolutely the most well-appointed and well-stocked of any vacation hours we’ve ever rented - every staple already on hand. Great location, great place, great owners, etc!

Loved our stay!

This place is very well appointed. Owners are easily obtainable but not overbearing. Loved the one floor plan and layout. The place would seem small based on the square footage but it totally worked for 8 adults and 2 children. Pool outside is awesome. Lots of equipment to be used. How well this is equipped made it easy for us since we had 2 couples flying in. Made it a lot less to pack.

An amazing place to stay

We absolutely couldn't imagine finding a better place to stay. The house was perfect and so much kitchen space. The walk to the beach was so quick even our two year old didn't mind. Amazing pool, and the screened porch was the perfect place to relax every evening. This is the second time we have rented from Trudy and we have been so impressed with her hospitality. It is evident how much thought she has put into make this a great place to visit.

Amazing stay in Topsail

We had an amazing vacation this week. This home is perfect - there were 9 of us in total with a range of ages (kids aged 4 - 14). We were all able to stay and sleep here comfortably. The house was spotless and it had everything! And I mean everything! Laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and all the kitchen necessities you needed to cook at home. The bed were very comfortable. The owners were responsive and kind. We would highly recommended this place to stay and honestly cannot wait to go back. The area was beautiful- beaches were amazing and plenty of places to eat and entertain you.

Wonderful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was better stocked than any other property we've stayed at over the years. There were so many things for the outdoors: bikes, tons of boogie boards, rafts for the pool, beach towels. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was especially nice that there was enough paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen soaps to last the week so that we didn't have to worry about it. The pool was very refreshing and there was plenty of seating. It was so nice being so close to the beach. We appreciate how clean the entire house was. The owners have thought of everything! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful vacation rental

We had a wonderful stay at Shorebreak. The decor and layout of the house was wonderful. The house was fully stocked with anything we could possibly need. The house was very clean. We loved that you could see the sunrise from the screened in front porch and the sunset from the back porch. Beach access was right across the street and easily accessible. The pool was great for relaxing after a day at the beach, and the tanning ledge was perfect for getting sun or for a shallow place for littles to play. The owner was very responsive. I would highly recommend staying at Shorebreak.

Best rental experience ever!

Do not hesitate to book this absolutely wonderful property! Owners are thoughtful, attentive to every detail and very quick to respond. The house itself is stunning, clean and newly remodeled. We had the best time walking across the street to the beach, lounging in the pool and hanging out on the screened in porch. The house is also equipped with all sorts of beach/pool toys that our toddler loved. The kitchen is fully stocked too! You will feel very comfortable and so glad you booked this property! Thank you for hosting us!

All the comforts of home ... and then some

Shore Break provided us a wonderful Labor Day getaway. The house was immaculately kept and beautifully decorated in a soothing seaside escape theme. While we didn’t need any assistance while there, since Trudy had already made sure everything we could need was accounted for, I know through my pre-checkin communications with her that she would have been prompt and thorough in her responses. From the sweet treats left for us to enjoy at check-in to the First Aid kit, everything was well thought out and executed. Trudy was a wonderful host!

The perfect getaway house!

We couldn’t have asked for a better house and better hosts during our stay at Topsail . My husband and I spent a few days to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it did not disappoint! The location was perfect, one street back from the beach, and a public access was right across the street. We were also about one mile from the main public access/restaurants/shops so it was pretty quiet where we were located, but close enough if we wanted to drive or walk over that way to get food or anything. The home was super cozy, and very spacious. Trudy and Mark has pretty much everything you need for the kitchen . I loved the screened in porch, and the hot tub was a perfect ending to each day ! Thank you Trudy and Mark for providing such a cozy home for us . We can’t wait to visit again!

Trudy is an awesome host!

First thought is I would definitely recommend booking this house with Trudy, as it was perfect for us. We were looking for a typical beach vacation with a location that was almost beach front but also included a private pool. We had a family of two children and 4 adults stay for a week. The beach was less than a 2 minute walk from the house, as the access point was just across the street. The town activities like food, fun, shopping etc was either a 5 minute drive south or 5 minute drive north depending on where you wanted to go. The house itself was very accommodating and it was exactly as described. The check in process was easy and the checkout process was easy and the short list of 8-10 items was reasonable. All four of the bedrooms were nice as they had basic furnishings but still roomy enough for luggage, pack and play, etc. The living room/dining room/kitchen was nice because of the open concept and H style house setup. There was a screened in patio deck out front, and then an uncovered deck out back. The neighbors on both sides were around but no bother at all. Overall the house had mostly everything we needed to get going including most kitchen items for cooking a variety of meals at the house. For beach days, there were plenty of chairs, kids toys, boards, a wagon, etc. For the backyard pool there were also plenty of floating devices and toys. In house entertainment included smart TV's, puzzles, games, books, etc.

Annual Family Vacation

Our annual family vacation has traditionally taken place at one of Mark and Trudy’s beach homes. Over the years we have built traditions and made memories in Surf City and their homes. We recommend anyone who wants a small home for their family, with close beach access, a pool and a personal touch from Mark and Trudy.

Perfect family destination

We had an awesome time on our annual family getaway. Our group consisted of adults and young children. This was our first time staying here, but hopefully not our last. The house is exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. Super convenient to the public beach access & private pool- what else do you need?! The pool/beach/outdoor toys were a fun bonus that the whole family enjoyed. It was so convenient to have extra chairs, floats, etc. The home owner had great communication and gave very clear instructions. I highly recommend staying here.

Relaxing week

This is our second time staying at Shorebreak, and we loved it! Easy walk to the beach across the street, and a beautiful, clean pool in the backyard for when you need a break from the ocean. The home itself is well appointed, very clean, and felt like home away from home! Very close to town as well. Highly recommend this home!

Everything you could ask for at Top Sail

We had an amazing vacation celebrating a sweet 16 and family. The owner was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. I recommend this home highly. The living area was clean and they thought of everything from games to cooking needs. We enjoyed the pool , finding shark teeth, long walks and biking. The ping pong table was wonderful. This house was beyond our expectations.

You’ll love Shore Break on Topsail island

Lovely home, very clean and well stocked to guarantee a stress free and comfortable stay. The beach access is across the street and the owners have thought of all the little comforts that make a stay at the beach a happy one. Thank you, we will be back!

Great memories made.

The property was everything we hoped for, and then some! Everything you could want for a stay at the beach was there. Even had a set of cornhole that we took advantage of. The owners literally thought of everything that a family could want to make for a worry free vacation. It was simply great.
