"This is a great cozy retreat. Clean. Everything you need, including firewood for the wood stove.Convenient to NY State Parks and not far from the Empire Trail and Hudson Valley Greenway so perfect for us to check off some of our NY State Parks Centennial Challenge tasks and get some hiking and biking in. It was perfect for the 2 of us. Ashley responded promptly to all of our communications and was a great host. Nice little touches like a basket of snacks added to the charm of this cozy cottage."

"Everything was easy and fine at the space. I had to stay for family reasons - so "location" was the most important factor to me. The worst thing in the unit is that the spiral stair is narrow - and a fat person or person with bad knees is NOT going to be using that stairwell easily. Otherwise, the unit had everything I needed and was perfectly appointed for an easy weekend stay. Enjoy!"

"This wonderful cottage has every amenity a traveler could want.. A beautiful modern kitchen, electric fireplace, lots of LED lighting, ample seating, extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a huge smart tv. The neighborhood is gorgeous, and the property is located near many places worth visiting. Bear Mountain State Park, and the Storm King Art Center, just to name a few. "This property is a serene location in the Hudson Highlands that has convenience and good proximity to stores & multiple communities in the area. This home had everything we were looking for and was very comfortable for us. Our host was great too!"

"This house is definitely secluded, so if you like privacy, and we do, this is the place for you. The house is well stocked with breakfast food, and food for guests is well marked. House is spotless. Bed is comfortable. I had a long phone conversation with Lisa and she was friendly and honest about what to expect. It's a short drive to the sights in the Hudson Valley. The only caution is the gravel driveway leading to the house is long and rough."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Squantz Cottage. Property was well maintained, clean, and convenient. Parking at the cottage can be a little tricky backing out and getting on to the road. An option to park at the main house could be helpful. I would definitely rent again!"

"Personally loved the location, very remote and on the river. Not very accessible to restaurants, shopping etc, so just be advised. Also, the train does pass by on a very regular basis, day and nice. The house itself was very nice"

"This is a cozy property in a very rural setting. The host is extremely responsive and very thorough. It is quiet and private. The furniture and bed are very comfortable. The wood burning stove is a pellet stove which provides enough heat to take the edge off. The hot tub could comfortably fit 4 people. The Village of Cold Spring is less than 10 minutes away, as is the Interstate 84 bridge across the Hudson. If you want to make your own food, bring it. There is no grocery store nearby."
